    Abstract: A disc-loading roll is composed of a rubber elastic body formed by use of a mold and having a cylindrical outer surface whose diameter changes along an axial direction. The disc-loading roll comes into contact with a peripheral edge portion of a disc so as to load the disc. An outer circumferential surface of the roll is an irregular surface which is formed by means of the mold. The irregular surface has a ten-point mean roughness Rz of 0.5 to 10 ?m and a mean irregularity interval Sm of 15 ?m or less.
