    Abstract: When determination is made that a channel for high-speed downlink packet transmission is short in power by the calculation of power assigned to a downlink shared channel and an activity ratio of the power assigned to the downlink shared channel from transmission power of all the channels and transmission power of other channel than a downlink shared channel for high-speed downlink packet transmission, a total sum of transmission power of dedicated channels is reduced by lowering a rate of a connected dedicated channel for data reception, thereby increasing power assigned to the channel for high-speed downlink packet transmission.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a radio base station which can equally assign a transmission opportunity based on the radio channel quality. A mobile station selection unit issues a request for a metric notification to a metric notification unit corresponding to a mobile station notified by a data flow control unit, and receives metrics. The metric notification unit periodically receives radio channel quality information from a channel quality notification unit of an uplink signal analysis unit, obtains through a rank calculation unit the rank at the time when the channel quality is preferably arranged in a channel quality buffer according to the radio channel quality information, and notifies the mobile station selection unit of the result as metrics. The mobile station selection unit selects a mobile station having the smallest metrics notified by the metric notification unit, assigns radio resources to the mobile station, and notifies the data flow control unit of the assignment.

    Abstract: In a mobile communication system, useless allocation of wireless resources is avoided and utilization efficiency of wireless resources is improved. A base station operating section of a base station is provided with respective functions for: measuring an RTWP which is a total receiving power; reading a format of a transport block transmitted by E-DPDCH; and measuring a transfer rate of each mobile station. In addition, a buffer size calculation section of the base station calculates an estimated buffer size at the time of transmission by a mobile station using an allocated power resource. An allocated power resource section calculates a power resource to be allocated to each mobile station, and notifies a power resource to be allocated to a mobile station via the base station operating section.

If the RNC determines that the degree of congestion in cell k is high, it sets a small hysteresis margin hm_a, and if RNC determines that the degree of congestion in cell k is low, it sets a large hysteresis margin hm_b.

    Abstract: A HSDPA type mobile communication system includes a base station and a mobile station. The base station sets the uplink control channel with the mobile station to transmit a pilot signal. The mobile station measures a reception quality of the pilot signal to transmit the quality information to the base station using the uplink quality control channel. The base station performs transmission control of data for the mobile station using the quality information. The mobile station is set to perform control of starting and stopping transmission of the quality information so that the quality information is transmitted only as required. Therefore, power consumption in the mobile station can be reduced, interference wave power in the uplink can be reduced, and capacity of the uplink can be increased.

    Abstract: The invention provides a radio base station which can achieve high throughput while attaining the target quality for each mobile station and fairly assigning a transmission opportunity. The plurality of mobile stations selected by the mobile station selection unit are input into a PF scheduler. From these mobile stations, a mobile station to which a transmission opportunity is assigned, is determined. A mobile station notification unit assigns a transmission opportunity to the mobile station determined by the PF scheduler.
