The detector and the restrictor whose positions are thus fixed are assembled to the body so that a circumferential edge of the detector opening part is located outside the set detection area while the restriction of the inherent detection area by the restrictor is maintained.

A one-way clutch spring 27 is provided between the PLAY disk 32 and the REV disk 26. Power is output from the PLAY disk 32.

    Abstract: A tension lever is pivoted to a chassis at one side of a reel support and has attached thereto in the vicinity of the pivoted portion opposite ends of a tension band reeved around the reel support. First and second two tension springs are provided between and fitted to a control lever and the tension lever each pivoted to the chassis and rotatable to different positions for different tape running modes. The second tension spring is fitted to the control lever with play in the direction of stretch of the spring. For reverse playback, the control lever rotates within the limits of play of the second spring to stretch the first spring only. The control lever stretches both the two springs for usual playback.

    Abstract: A front mechanism mounted on a chassis loads a cassette in place by causing a first projection and a second projection on each of opposite side portions of a cassette carrying tray to slide along respective guide grooves formed in each of side plates. Power is transmitted from a drive cam gear provided on the rear side of the chassis to the tray via a drive mechanism, intermediate gear and rotary gear. For loading, the tray initially starts to move as inclined with the first projection and the second projection sliding along slanting grooves and is thereafter lowered by sliding movement of the projection along a vertical groove and sliding movement of the projection along a descent groove while being corrected from the inclined position to a horizontal position. Upon completion of cassette loading, the intermediate gear and the rotary gear constitute a Geneva stop, and the drive cam gear disengages from the drive mechanism.

    Abstract: A magnetic recording/playback apparatus in which rotational torque from the drive shaft of a single motor is capable of being transmitted to a cassette loading mechanism and a tape loading mechanism includes a worm secured to the drive shaft and a worm wheel for being meshed freely with the worm, the worm wheel being provided with a toothless portion. The drive shaft is coupled to the cassette loading mechanism via the worm wheel. During operation of the tape loading mechanism by the drive shaft, the toothless portion of the worm wheel is brought into position opposite the worm wheel so that a driving force is no longer applied to the cassette loading mechanism. When a cassette is ejected, the toothless portion of the worm wheel is shifted after a tape loading operation, thereby reengaging the worm wheel and worm to actuate the cassette loading mechanism.
