  • Publication number: 20230367045
Abstract: An optical film includes a plurality of optical elements. In a case where a first reference line parallel to a film surface is extended in a horizontal direction from a first optical element, a second optical element adjacent to the first optical element is placed at a predetermined spacing in a direction forming a first angle with respect to the first reference line. A third optical element adjacent to the first optical element is placed at a predetermined spacing in a direction forming a second angle with respect to a second reference line orthogonal to the first reference line and parallel to the film surface. Another optical element is also placed at a predetermined spacing from an adjacent optical element in the direction forming the first angle, and is placed at a predetermined spacing from an adjacent optical element in the direction forming the second angle.

  • Publication number: 20230093069
Abstract: A display device includes a display panel that emits light from a plurality of pixels arrayed at predetermined pixel array pitches and an optical film, placed over the display panel so as to allow passage of light from the plurality of pixels, that includes first and second optical functional parts differing in optical performance from each other. The first and second optical functional parts are arrayed at predetermined functional part array pitches. Assuming that p (?m) denotes the pixel array pitches, that q (?m) denotes the functional part array pitches, and that d (?m) denotes a distance in a face-to-face direction between surfaces of the pixels that face the optical film and a surface of the optical film that faces the pixels, q?0.5p and tan(asin(0.7/q))<p/d hold.

  • Publication number: 20230046640
Abstract: An optical film includes a low-refractive-index layer that includes a plurality of lens portions, and a high-refractive-index layer that fills a space between the plurality of lens portions. The lens portions each have a columnar shape and have a flat portion at an end thereof, and are arranged two-dimensionally. Distances between portions of the lens portions satisfy the following equation: ((PA?((AIN+AEX)/2))×(PB?((BIN+BEX)/2)))/(PA×PB) is 0.42 or greater and 0.70 or less.
