  • Publication number: 20080124330
Abstract: An anti-glypican 3 antibody with modified sugar chains, more specifically, an anti-glypican 3 antibody lacking fucose is provided. The anti-glypican 3 antibody with modified sugar chains of the present invention may be produced by a process comprising introducing a nucleic acid encoding an anti-glypican 3 antibody into host cells with reduced fucose addition capability, such as YB2/0 cells and cells lacking a fucose transporter. The anti-glypican 3 antibody with modified sugar chains of the present invention has a high level of cytotoxic activity and therefore is useful as a cell growth inhibitor such as an anticancer agent.

  • Patent number: 7378887
Abstract: The present invention is directed to assure an initial state of a circuit until a power supply voltage is stabilized at the time of power-on and to prevent an output circuit of an external input/output buffer circuit from performing erroneous operation at the time of setting a predetermined register value or the like to an initial value. A power supply detecting circuit outputs a power supply voltage detection signal indicating that a power supply voltage supplied from the outside enters a predetermined state. A power on reset circuit receives the power supply voltage detection signal, instructs an initial setting operation of the internal circuit at a predetermined timing and, in response to completion of the initial setting operation of the internal circuit, changes an external input/output buffer circuit from a high impedance state to an operable state. Consequently, when the external input/output buffer circuit becomes operable, the initial setting of the internal circuit has already completed.

  • Patent number: 7378029
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium is provided, by which a magnetic recording medium having a recording layer formed in a concavo-convex pattern, a sufficiently flat surface, and high recording and reproducing precision is efficiently manufactured. In a non-magnetic material filling step, a non-magnetic material is deposited over a recording layer formed in a predetermined concavo-convex pattern over a substrate to fill concave portions of the concavo-convex pattern with the non-magnetic material. In a flattening step, an excess part of the non-magnetic material above the recording layer is removed by dry etching, to flatten surfaces of the recording layer and the non-magnetic material. Processing conditions are set so as to substantially equalize an etching rate of the non-magnetic material with an etching rate of the recording layer with respect to the dry etching in the flattening step.

  • Publication number: 20080117332
Abstract: A broadcast receiving device includes a first receiving unit, a second receiving unit, a display control unit, an audio determination unit, a switching determination unit and a switching execution unit. The display control unit displays a first image corresponding to a first television broadcast received by the first receiving unit on a main screen in a monitor, and displays a second image corresponding to a second television broadcast received by the second receiving unit on a subscreen in the monitor. The switching determination unit compares a first audio corresponding to the first television broadcast with a second audio corresponding to the second television broadcast, and determines whether or not the second audio is to be outputted instead of the first audio. The switching execution unit executes audio switching processing based on a determination result of the switching determination unit so that the second audio is outputted instead of the first audio.
