Abstract: A CPU includes a bus interface, a control unit, an instruction cache, a data cache, a secondary cache, an instruction decoder, an arithmetic unit, and registers. When operations can be performed only with the cache, the CPU inhibits access to external memory and stops power supply to the external memory. With this arrangement, by performing operations in the CPU without using the external memory, it is possible to realize a speedy processing and to stop power supply to the external memory, thus allowing for reduction in power consumption.

A characteristics detection part detects MAX, MIN, and APL (average) of an input signal. A control data generation part calculates Gain for amplifying a difference between MAX and MIN to a width of a dynamic range and Offset indicating the DC level to be shifted so that the input video signal amplified by Gain falls within the output dynamic range of a DC level adjustment part. A signal amplitude adjustment part amplifies the input video signal with reference to APL and in accordance with Gain. The DC level adjustment part shifts the DC level of the amplified input video signal in accordance with a value of Offset. A light source control part controls a light source so that a visual brightness level on a screen is equal to a brightness level of the input video signal.

Abstract: A method of joining terminals by soldering is provided which allows control of increasing gas supply even in soldering performed in a gas atmosphere within a gas chamber. Utilizing a springback phenomenon occurring at a flat portion of a terminal, a solder joint of the terminal is immersed in molten solder. Then, laser soldering is performed using a gas chamber made of a material which transmits a laser beam at least in part.

Abstract: A picture transmitting apparatus transmits, to a picture receiving apparatus, a picture as a predetermined area of an omnidirectional picture. The picture receiving apparatus displays a portion of the transmitted picture which corresponds to a viewpoint. When the viewpoint is moved, information of the movement is transmitted from the picture receiving apparatus to the picture transmitting apparatus, and a picture corresponding to the new viewpoint is transmitted from the picture transmitting apparatus to the picture receiving apparatus. The picture receiving apparatus displays a portion of the received picture which corresponds to the viewpoint.

A tire puncture sealant including a synthetic resin emulsion and an antifreezing agent, and having a hydrogen ion exponent of 5.5 to 8.5 has a less pungent odor and hardly causes corrosion of steel cord. A tire puncture sealant including a chloroprene emulsion and an antifreezing agent and having a hydrogen ion exponent of less than 9.0 has a comparatively low viscosity and a less odor while showing sealing properties equivalent to those of a conventional tire puncture sealant.
