Abstract: A projector includes: a light source; a light modulation device that modulates light emitted from the light source; an optical projection device that projects the light modulated by the light modulation device; a light path changing element (shift element) that is disposed between the light modulation device and the optical projection device and changes a light path of the light modulated by the light modulation device through fluctuation; and a cooling device that cools the light modulation device and the light path changing element (shift element).

Abstract: A vehicular lamp includes a light source; and a light guide disposed such that light emitted from the light source is incident on an end face of the light guide. The light guide emits light, guided into its interior, heading vehicle-forward from an exit face of the light guide running along the light guide's lengthwise extension. The light guide includes reflection steps formed on a surface of the light guide on a side reverse from the exit face, for reflecting light guided into the light-guide interior toward the exit face; and a plurality of diffusion flutes formed on said end face, each being arcuate in substantially horizontal cross-section through said end face, and each being of constant form in substantially perpendicular extension.

The slide mechanism includes: a first holder fixed to the first casing; a second holder which is fixed to the second casing and by which the first slider is supported so as to be movable in the sliding direction; and an elastic member which has one end fixed to the first holder and the other end fixed to the second holder and which extends and contracts according to movement of the first casing and the second casing at the time of sliding.

When a free block is acquired at normal priority, the free block is acquired from the free block management list in which a number of free blocks is larger than a first threshold. When a free block is acquired at high priority, the free block is acquired from the free block management list irrespective of the first threshold.
