    Abstract: A method for producing a liquid composition formed of a phosphorescent material and an organic solvent includes the steps of: dissolving a phosphorescent material in an organic solvent to prepare a mixed liquid, and filtering the mixed liquid by a filtering device. A material of a portion of the housing and holder in contact with the mixed liquid is a metal or a mixture of metal and at least one of glass, fluororesins, polyethylene not containing a phosphorus antioxidant, and polyethylene not containing an oxidized phosphorus antioxidant.
