  • Publication number: 20090002504
Abstract: An image sensor acquires images with resolutions being switched. A resolution switching unit switches the resolutions of the images to be output from the image sensor. An image selecting unit selects a basic image from a plurality of output images which are output from the image sensor, having different resolutions of two or more types switched by the resolution switching unit, at least including an image having a first resolution and an image having a second resolution higher than the first resolution. An image displacement estimating unit estimates a displacement between the basic image and another image. A resolution converting unit converts the resolution of any image in the plurality of output images output from the image sensor using the image having the first resolution and the image having the second resolution acquired by the image sensor and the displacement between images obtained by the image displacement estimating unit.

  • Publication number: 20080318299
Abstract: A novel cell suited for mass production of Hemagglutinating Virus of Japan (HVJ), a method for obtaining the cell and use of the cell are disclosed. The human cell is originated from a transformed human kidney cell line, the doubling time thereof in logarithmic growth phase in suspension culture in a serum-free medium is not more than 40 hours, the cell has a freeze-recovery property, the maximum density of viable cells in suspension culture is not less than 106 cells/mL, and HVJ can grow in the cell. The method for obtaining the human cell comprises the steps of suspension-culturing a human transformed kidney cell line in a serum-free medium, and cloning the grown cells; and selecting, from the cloned cells, a cell whose doubling time in logarithmic growth phase in suspension culture in a serum-free medium is not more than 40 hours, which has a freeze-recovery property, whose maximum density of viable cells in suspension culture is not less than 106 cells/mL, in which HVJ can grow.

  • Publication number: 20070296829
Abstract: The invention provides an imaging device, an imaging system and an image photography method which can construct an image having a higher resolution than a photographed image. The imaging device is constituted by an optical imaging unit 11 (an optical imaging means for imaging an image of a subject), an imaging unit 12 (a means for converting an image imaged optically into an image signal that is discretized spatially and is sampled), an image processing unit 15 (a means for generating a high-resolution image from image signals of multiple frames), a moving velocity detecting unit 13 (a means for detecting a status change of the imaging device itself), and an imaging timing deciding unit 14 (a means for deciding a imaging timing). The imaging device is constituted such as to construct the high-resolution image from an imaging element with a little number of the pixels.

  • Publication number: 20070268388
Abstract: An optical system (101) forms an optical image on an imager (102), and a read control block (104) selects a read rule for the imager depending on the magnification addressed by a magnification address block (103). The imager (102) transforms an optical image at an addressed area into electrical signals in compliance with the read rule. The read image signals are stored n image memories (105-1) to (105-n), where n is the number of images necessary for ultra-resolution processing. Ultra-resolution processing is built up of a motion estimation block (107) and a high-resolution image estimation block (108) adapted to estimate image data having a high-resolution image sequence. A selector (106) selects a basic image for motion estimation and an image that is estimated in terms of motion.

  • Publication number: 20070177027
Abstract: An optical system (101) forms an optical image on an imager (102), the image is made spatially discrete for transformation into a sampled image signal, and the image signal is separated at a band separation processing block (105) into a high-frequency component and a low-frequency component. At a super-resolution target frame selection block (106), a frame to which super-resolution processing is to be applied is selected out of the separated low-frequency component image for forwarding to an interpolation and enlargement processing block (109). super-resolution processing is implemented by a motion estimation block (107) and a high-resolution image estimation block (108) adapted to estimate image date having a pixel sequence at a high resolution.

  • Patent number: 6463864
Abstract: A gasification and melting furnace for wastes has a vertically movable furnace center lance disposed along the axis of the furnace and adapted to blow off a combustion sustaining gas downward into the furnace. One or more stages of upper tuyeres are disposed so that the angle at which the combustion sustaining gas is blown off into the furnace is displaced from the furnace axis direction, and one or more stages of lower tuyeres projected into the furnace so as to blow off a combustion sustaining gas or both combustion sustaining gas and fuel toward the furnace axis. Formation of a low temperature region in the furnace are prevented and a fire spot is concentrated on the combustion of wastes. As a result, molten slag and various metals, as well as an energy gas, which are high in added value, can be recovered stably.
