  • Patent number: 10305209
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a housing, a plurality of contacts arranged in the housing, an actuator mounted on the housing, capable of rotating with reference to the housing and a pair of fixing tabs positioned in the vicinity of two ends of the actuator. Each fixing tab has a lock portion for engaging with a flexible printed circuited connected to the electrical connector and a spring portion connected to the lock portion. The fixing tab is engaged with the actuator so that rotation of the actuator from an original position to a release position causes the lock portion of the fixing tab to disengage with the flexible printed circuit connected to the electrical connector and the actuator resumes from the release position to the original position under a resilient force exerted thereon by the spring portion of the fixing tab.

  • Patent number: 9640884
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing, contact elements and locking members attached to the housing. The housing has a front end, a back end, a top side, a bottom side and a cavity between the top side and the bottom side. The cavity is to partially receive a circuit board therein. Each contact element is insertable into the housing along a direction from the bottom side towards the top side. Each locking member is insertable into the housing along a direction from the bottom side towards the top side. The upper and lower contact arms and the lock arm are resiliently deflectable away from the cavity to allow insertion of the circuit board into the cavity, and spring back when the circuit board is inserted into the cavity to make electrical connection to the circuit board and to lock the circuit board in the housing.

  • Patent number: 8267717
Abstract: An FPC connector has a main body and an actuator movably attached thereto. When at an opened position, the actuator and the main body form a space therebetween into which an FPC can be inserted. The actuator can then be rotated towards the main body to close the space, such that the FPC is sandwiched and hold between the main body and the actuator. The actuator has a pair of pivots which are received by a pair of slots formed by the pair of support plates fixed to the main body. The actuator has a pair of latches which, when the actuator rotates to the locked position, act against a lock portion of the support plates and cause the lock portions to deform resiliently outwardly. When the latches pass over the lock portions, the lock portions resumes to the original position and lock the latches.
