  • Publication number: 20110083584
Abstract: Disclosed is a flaky material formed of an aggregate of fine particles. The aggregate is formed by uniting fine particles to one another. The fine particles are derived from fine particles of an inorganic oxide dispersed in a solvent having an effective (OH?) content of 3×10?5 to 1×10?6 mol/l. The surface of the flaky material has a flatness degree equal to or lower than 0.5 ?m. The flaky material can provide viewers with a high brightness feeling.

  • Patent number: 7476279
Abstract: A connecting end face cleaning tool having superior cleaning properties includes a cleaning fabric. This cleaning tool removes soiling attached to the connecting end face of an optical connecting part when that connecting end face is detached. The cleaning fabric is constructed such that the woof threads protrude from the surface of the fabric more than the warp threads. The cleaning fabric has a tape-like shape, the lengthwise direction of which is the direction of the extension of the warp threads. Soiling is removed from a connecting end face as the connecting end face and cleaning fabric are moved relatively such that the connecting end face moves transverse to the woof threads of the cleaning fabric. A method of cleaning a connecting end face uses a cleaning fabric with woof threads protruding from the surface of the fabric more than the warp threads and the fabric is moved relative to the connecting end face transverse to the woof threads of the fabric.

  • Publication number: 20060191091
Abstract: A cleaner for an optical fiber connector which is made up of an elongated inner guide member having a base and an end tip, around which a cleaning member extends along the extension axis thereof, from the base to the end tip and returning again to the base; a sliding member supported so as to be slidable along the inner guide member and having a pair of guide parts that guide the cleaning member, which can slide between a projected position protruding beyond the end tip of the inner guide member and a retracted position retreating beyond the end tip, such that when the sliding member is in the projected position, the cleaning member is positioned extending around the sliding member instead of around the end tip of the inner guide member; and a tubular shaped external guide member that supports the sliding member and encloses the inner guide member and the cleaning member.

  • Patent number: 5674975
Abstract: Saturated or superheated steam, or an inert gas, or a combination thereof is introduced into a gas phase above a molten acrylonitrile polymer in a vessel having a stirrer, while the polymer has a temperature of at least 120.degree. C. and a pressure at least equal to its autogenous pressure. Any unreacted acrylonitrile monomer, or both any such monomer and any acrylonitrile monomer or water used as a plasticizer are removed by evaporation from the vessel.

  • Patent number: 5433914
Abstract: A continuous heat treating machine for synthetic fiber tow provides a method for maintaining pressure having excellent stability on maintaining the pressure inside of the pressure chamber while avoiding quality deterioration and while ensuring minimum leakage of steam for heating medium. The length and breadth dimensions of the exit pressure seal part are set to be narrower than those of the entrance pressure seal part. The method ensures minimum damage on heat treating fiber, gives minimum unit requirement of steam for heating medium, and offers a stable operation and uniform heat treatment.
