  • Patent number: 8683463
Abstract: When data received separately in first and second reception processing is processed separately by first and second application programs, and when data received by the first reception processing contains specific data specifying processing by the second application program, and the specific data has regional properties, the current region where the second application program is executed is judged, and if the region does not match a region to which processing specified by the specific data belongs, the content specified by the specific data is converted based on data in a predetermined table, and processing is executed by the second application program. Accordingly, two application programs can be linked in a mobile phone unit or other terminal devices, and problems when executing one application with regional properties under control of the other application can be resolved.

  • Patent number: 7526311
Abstract: At a mobile terminal apparatus provided with a non-contact IC, flexible communication is carried out between the external reader/writer , non-contact IC and the internal application manager controller, and a program designated in the form of a push from the external reader/writer is activated and executed in a smooth manner at the mobile terminal apparatus. Normally, the non-contact IC cannot communicate with the application manager controller during communication with the external reader/writer, and cannot communicate with the external reader/writer during communication with the application manager controller. A specific command is transmitted from the external reader/writer together with information specifying a prescribed application during communication between the external reader/writer and the non-contact IC. When the specific command is received, the non-contact IC shifts to a communication state enabling communication with the application manager controller.

  • Patent number: 6546231
Abstract: This invention relates to a communication terminal device. In order to realize a communication terminal device which improves the operational efficiency and the usability remarkably comparing to a conventional one, an operation key is designed to be rotated, pushed, and slid, and the movement direction or the movement amount of the cursor can be changed when the operation key is slid, so that the cursor can reach at a desired item quickly. As a result, the rotating amount to reach at a desired item can be reduced comparing to a conventional one. Therefore, a communication terminal device which improves the operational efficiency and the usability remarkably comparing to the conventional one can be realized.

  • Patent number: 5898930
Abstract: A buffer memory, an electrically erasable and writable ROM, a capacitor for holding a voltage, and a voltage detection circuit for detecting the voltage of a battery for a power source are provided in a portable telephone unit. During conversation, data to be saved is written into the buffer memory. At the time of ending the conversation, the data written in the buffer memory is transferred to a ROM and written therein. When the voltage detection circuit detects that the voltage of the battery is unobtainable, the buffer memory and the ROM are operated and the data written in the buffer memory is also transferred to the ROM and written therein by the voltage held in the capacitor.
