  • Publication number: 20220243758
Abstract: A combination nut assembly includes first and second tightening nuts, each engageable with a bolt and having an interior frustum-shaped fitting socket and a dual frustoconical locking nut engageable with the bolt and elastically deformable and consists of two exterior frustum-shaped half locking nut members identical in geometric configuration and symmetrically inverted in position integrally connected together as a single part with their larger ends jointly connected and located between the first and second tightening nuts when assembled. Each half locking nut member protrudes an axial distance “e” from a bearing surface of the tightening nut in an assembled position. Axial distance “e” is defined by p>e??/tan ?, where: “?” is cone generating angle; “?” is perpendicular backlash between flanks of threads of the bolt and locking nut in an ordinarily engaged position; and “p” is locking nut pitch.

  • Patent number: 6371649
Abstract: A method for lubricating a part without leaving air bubbles includes the steps of assembling components so that an open end is formed for application of lubricating fluid and a fluid path is provided through which the lubricating fluid is to be circulated, introducing the lubricating fluid into the open end and applying a centrifugal force to the component by moving the component about a circular path so that the centrifugal force causes the lubricating fluid to be urged throughout the fluid path. The method is used in an embodiment to lubricate a dynamic pressure bearing having a gap between relatively moving parts. The gap has an open end into which the lubrication fluid is dripped and a closed end. During movement of the bearing about a circular path, the fluid is urged from the open end to the closed end.

  • Patent number: 6252322
Abstract: A spindle motor comprises a base, a stator coil connected to the base, and a sleeve-and-bearing unit connected to a central portion of the base. The sleeve-and-bearing unit has a sleeve and a bearing section mounted in the sleeve having a linear expansion coefficient greater than that of the sleeve. The sleeve has a groove disposed in an outer peripheral surface thereof for receiving an adhesive material for connecting the base to the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve. A rotor unit is connected to the sleeve-and-bearing unit for undergoing rotation relative to the sleeve-and-bearing unit. The rotor unit has a shaft section supported by the bearing section for undergoing rotation, a hub connected to the shaft section for rotation therewith, and a rotor magnet connected to the hub and disposed opposite to and spaced apart from the stator coil.

  • Patent number: 4629206
Abstract: A reverse lock-out control employing a bracket fixed to the handle bar of a vehicle and associated with a brake lever pivotly mounted to that bracket. The device includes a control lever pivotly mounted to the bracket adjacent the brake lever. A pin is slidably associated with the brake lever and a hole is provided in the control lever such that the brake lever and control lever may be engaged by the pin when the brake lever is in the off position. The control lever is linked to a reverse gear lock-out such that with the pin engaged, application of the brake will result in actuation of the lock-out mechanism.
