    Abstract: A reclining device for a seat, comprising a stationary base plate and rotatable plate, both being fitted together, with the rotatable plate free to rotate relative to the base plate. An annular toothed portion and an unlock area are respectively formed in either of those two plates, and a lock gear is interposed between the plates in a vertically slidable manner such that, with the rotation of the rotatable plate, the lock gear is disengaged from the toothed portion and rides on the unlock area, or vice versa, to thereby place the reclining device in a locked or unlocked state, by simply operating a lever to effect such engagement/disengagement of the lock gear to the toothed portion.

    Abstract: A slide rail is shown for adjusting the longitudinal position of a seat used in connection with a vehicle, such as an automobile. The slide rail comprises a moveable rail having a U-shaped lower section, and adapted for connection to the seat; upper and lower sliders, respectively disposed on the top and bottom surfaces of a flange forming part of the lower portion of the moveable rail; and a square fixed rail adapted for connection to the floor of the vehicle. The upper slider, which is formed from a desirably elastic material, has a number of vertically alternating projections on its top and bottom surfaces; lateral projections on its side surfaces; and slits disposed inwardly of the lateral projections. The flange is positioned in the fixed rail, together with the upper and lower sliders, so that the moveable rail can be slideably moved back and forth, providing the adjustment described.

    Abstract: A seat slide device for adjusting the forward and backward positions of the seat which comprises an upper rail and a lower rail, the upper rail being slidably fitted to the lower rail. In the upper rail, there is provided an anchor plate adapted to be connected with a seat belt, the anchor plate having a plurality of hook members arranged in correspondence with a plurality of engagement holes formed in the lower rail. When an upward pulling force is exerted on the anchor plate, the hook members are brought to engagement into the engagement holes, to thereby prevent removal of the upper rail from the lower rail.

    Abstract: A seat slide device for adjusting the forward and backward positions of the seat which comprises an upper rail and a lower rail, the upper rail being slidably fitted to the lower rail, in which a seat belt is at its one end secured to one of the upper rail and seat. In one of the upper and lower rails, formed are a plurality of projected pieces, while in the other of those rails, formed are a plurality of incised portions, so that, when an upward pulling force is exerted upon the upper rail via the seat belt, the projected pieces are pressed against the incised portions to bend them and pass therethrough, thereby causing a mutual direct engagement of the upper and lower rails to prevent removal of the upper rail from the lower rail.

In the adjustment device, a rod is rotatably journaled on the side of fixed means thereof, a pair of link members are respectively fixed to the rod at the first ends thereof with the free ends thereof being connected to a movable member, there is provided in said fixed means a crankshaft having a pair of bent portions on the substantially 180.degree. opposing sides thereof, and the bent portions of the crankshaft are respectively inserted through and engaged with slits formed in the two link members, whereby the link members are rotated by rotating the crankshaft so as to be able to move or adjust the movable member relative to the fixed means.

    Abstract: A fixing device for a vehicle seat back comprises a support element mounted on the vehicle side wall, and a pivotal hook element engageable with the support element. A set part of the support element includes a hook-preventing upward extension for preventing the hook element from slipping off the set part. A bracket is mounted on the seat back together with the hook element, the bracket having a leg supporting a cushion which engages the set part in an upright and a locked position of the seat back.
