  • Patent number: 8754346
Abstract: A fixed electrode 10 and a movable electrode have coil electrodes formed of plural coil portions installed at both contacts and on a rear surface side in a divided manner in a circumferential direction along peripheries of the contacts such that a longitudinal field is generated in a direction in which the fixed contact and the movable contact come close to and move apart from each other. Protruding portions joined to the contacts are provided to tip ends of the respective coil portions to form joint portions to the respective contacts. A current to be flowed is controlled by changing resistance values between the contacts and the coil electrodes for each joint portion.

  • Patent number: 7173208
Abstract: A vacuum interrupter for reducing contact resistance and thereby reducing electromagnetic repulsive force between electrodes, is obtained. The vacuum interrupter includes a stationary electrode rod fixedly placed on one closed end of a cylindrical evacuated envelope closed at both ends thereof; a movable electrode rod movably placed on the other closed end; disc shaped contacts placed on opposing ends of the electrode rods; and reinforcement members for reinforcing the contact placed between each electrode rod and the associated contact. In such a configuration, a coefficient of linear expansion of the reinforcement member differs from that of the contact, and the reinforcement member and the associated contact are jointed by soldering at a plurality of opposing parts thereof.

  • Publication number: 20020153353
Abstract: A vacuum valve includes a vacuum vessel having an interior portion sealed by a fixed-end end plate and a moving-end end plate disposed at first and second end portions, respectively, of a cylindrical electrically-insulating tube, a fixed electrode rod secured to the fixed-end end plate, a fixed electrode being disposed on an end portion of the fixed electrode rod, a movable electrode rod, a movable electrode capable of contacting and separating from the fixed electrode being disposed on an end portion of the movable electrode rod, and an electrode shield secured to the electrically-insulating tube and enveloping the fixed electrode and the movable electrode, the electrode shield preventing an inner wall surface of the electrically-insulating tube from being polluted by a metallic vapor generated by the fixed electrode and the movable electrode during electric-current interruption, a recess portion being formed in a central portion of only one of either a contact surface of the movable electrode or a contact s

  • Patent number: 6459567
Abstract: A gas-insulated switchgear comprising bushings mounted to and passing through a vessel wall of the hermetic vessel, each having an outer end connected to an insulated bus conductor at the outside of the hermetic vessel and an inner end connected to the electric device within the hermetic vessel. Each of the bushings has a central axis that is perpendicular to the common axis of the electric device and spaced apart from each other in the direction of extension of the common axis and shifted by a predetermined angle with respect to each other about the common axis. The flat bushing mounting vessel walls are tilted from inside to outside relative to other portion of the wall.
