Abstract: An image recording apparatus having an exposure unit, a pressure developing unit and a thermal fixing unit. The apparatus employs a separate type image recording mediums including a microcapsule sheet and a separate developer sheet. The thermal fixing unit applies heat to the developer sheet carrying an output image thereon. A heat application means of the thermal fixing unit is positioned spaced away from the imaging surface of the developer sheet for avoding direct contact therewith.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a photosensitive recording medium by exposing the photosensitive recording medium to light by way of a mask member which is placed on an exposure station. The apparatus comprises a first transport device which transports the mask member through the exposure station and a second transport device which transports the photosensitive recording medium through the exposure station. A first exposure unit irradiates light upon the photosensitive record medium by way of said mask member at the exposure station to record an image formed on the mask member on the photosensitive recording medium. Alternatively, when a mask member is not used, a second exposure unit directs light through an auxiliary member having a light-passing image thereon to project and record the light-passing image onto the photosensitive recording medium.

Abstract: An image recording apparatus using a set of mask members and having mask position adjusting device. A transparent mask member supporting plate is provided at the exposure position. Each of the mask member is delivered upon the mask member supporting plate by two pairs of rollers. In this mask delivery, a mask image surface faces upwardly. An elongated photosensitive recording medium is positioned immediately above the mask member supporting plate so as to guide the medium at the exposure position. Further, an exposure device including a light source and color filters is positioned below the mask member supporting plate. The mask member undergoes positional adjustment at the exposure position. For this, the mask member supporting plate is supported on a positioning frame which is movable in a direction perpendicular to the mask member moving direction.

Abstract: In one of the embodiments of the invention, a plurality of originals is sequentially optically scanned and the image bearing light is applied to each of a plurality of photosensitive recording sheets to form a latent image corresponding to one of the originals. The photosensitive recording sheet is brought to facial contact with a developer sheet to develop the latent image and provide a visible image on the developer sheet. The developer sheet is circulated so that it is again brought to facial contact with the subsequent photosensitive recording sheet on which another latent image is formed by optically scanning a different original. In this manner, a plurality of images on different originals are recorded in superposition on a single recording medium. In another embodiment of the invention, an image of a single sheet of original is analyzed to a character image and images of primary color components.

Abstract: In a photo-sensitive recording medium cartridge comprising a housing and a photo-sensitive recording medium accommodated therein, information is provided on an outer surface of a peripheral wall of the housing. The information contains data capable of being automatically read out. The data is representative of exposure, developing and fixing conditions of the recording medium. An image recording apparatus comprises a reader unit for reading out the data contained in the information to generate signals respectively indicative of the exposure, developing and fixing conditions, and a control unit operative in response to the signals for controlling an exposure unit, a developing unit and a fixing unit.

Abstract: A photosensitive recording medium is exposed to light through mask members produced from color image information thereby to form a color image. A color image recording apparatus includes an inlet for receiving a monochromatic image recording sheet from a monochromatic image recording apparatus capable of producing the mask members, a discharge path for discharging the monochromatic image recording sheet which has been received through the inlet, a supply path for receiving and supplying the monochromatic image recording sheet to an image generator in the color image recording apparatus, and a path selector for selecting one, at a time, of the discharge path and the supply path.
