  • Patent number: 9889228
Abstract: The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a cultured cell sheet having a superior tissue adhesiveness and an excellent flexibility. The problems can be solved by producing the cultured cell sheet in which cells are cultured in the presence of a surfactant protein or a cross-linking inhibitor on a surface of a cell culture support that is coated with a temperature responsive polymer having an upper or lower critical solution temperature ranging from 0° C. to 80° C. in water, including steps of: adjusting the temperature of the culture medium to a temperature below the lower critical solution temperature or above the upper critical solution temperature; and detaching the cultured cell sheet.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: February 13, 2018
    Assignee: CELLSEED INC.
Inventors: Masato Kanzaki, Masayuki Yamato, Tinatsu Kohno, Hidekazu Sekine, Akihiko Kikuchi, Teruo Okano, Takamasa Onuki

  • Patent number: 7985197
Abstract: A therapeutic-substance carrying/administering appliance includes a cylindrical outer sheath; a slide member installed in the cylindrical outer sheath to be slidable therein; and a sheet supporting member, connected to a distal end of the slide member and made of a resilient material, for supporting a sheet-shaped therapeutic substance. The sheet supporting member is held in a flat unrolled shape in a free state in which the sheet supporting member projects outwardly from a distal end of the cylindrical outer sheath. When the sheet supporting member is in the free state, sliding the slide member in a retracting direction causes the sheet supporting member to contact the distal end of the cylindrical outer sheath, and subsequently further moving the slide member in the retracting direction causes the sheet supporting member to be retracted into the cylindrical outer sheath while being deformed into a tubular shape.

  • Publication number: 20080131476
Abstract: It is intended to provide a cultured cell sheet with excellent tissue adherence and flexibility. The above object can be achieved by culturing cells on a support for cell culture in which a surface of a substrate is coated with a temperature-responsive polymer whose lower or upper critical solution temperature against water is in the range of 0 and 80° C. along with a surfactant protein or a crosslinking inhibitor and producing a cultured cell sheet by detaching it by setting the temperature of the culture to the upper critical solution temperature or higher or to the lower critical solution temperature or lower.

  • Patent number: 5681332
Abstract: A ligation apparatus includes an opening portion at a front end of a rod, in communication with the front end side, the left side, and the right side, having a cross section of substantially a U-shaped configuration in the direction of axis of the rod, and a mobile unit in the opening portion. The mobile unit includes a body held in a movable manner, and a thread supporting unit having the tip end protruding from the opening portion for supporting a ligature at the front end. The ligature has one end tied to the thread supporting unit of the mobile unit, and the other end translated downwards from the upper side of the mobile unit according to a predetermined direction of rotation, whereby a knot of the ligature is formed. Therefore, a ligation site can be ligated extracorporeally even if the hole puncture in a somatic layer is small.

  • Patent number: 5662666
Abstract: A ligative suturer according to the present invention comprises a first rod which is connected with a ligative sutural member, and a second rod which is connected with the first rod to be bendable in the horizontal direction (L, R). A thread guard member which is capable of protrusion and storage is provided in the first rod, while a lever which can select the bending direction of the first rod in response to the situation of employment by an operator is provided in the second rod. Due to this ligative suturer, the operator can regularly bend the first rod toward him whether he handles the suturer with his left or right hand.
