  • Publication number: 20190132068
Abstract: A reception device detects whether or not there has been updating of configuration information including correlation information correlated with audio data provided in a program from reception signals received in a broadcast, selects one of a plurality of audio data in accordance with operating input, and includes a decoding unit that decodes audio data that the selecting unit has selected. When the configuration information is updated, the selecting unit selects, out of correlation information included in the configuration information that has been updated, audio data corresponding to correlation information including a predetermined element that is the same as correlation information corresponding to audio data selected before updating.

  • Patent number: 8751962
Abstract: In regards to the conventional technology for performing operational inputs by referring a GUI and by means of a touch sensor, there exists a problem in which the relationship of correspondence between on-screen locations of selection items on a GUI and touchpad locations cannot be accurately grasped. Moreover, cases in which a touch panel equipped with an information display function instead of a touch sensor is used cause problems in that the cost thereof or power consumed thereby can be relatively high, etc. In order to solve the problems described as above, the present invention provides a remote control that selects an icon on a GUI as a target of operation using a touch sensor, and which is characterized by a configuration that allows a user to easily identify the relationship of correspondence by brightening of a touch sensor on a touchpad corresponding to icon arrangement on a GUI.

  • Patent number: 8599314
Abstract: A display screen includes a video region in contact with a left side section of the display screen for performing a scaling display of an input video; a top region at the uppermost part of the display screen for displaying a plurality of items capable of being selected by a user; and a side region provided to the right or left of the display screen for displaying a plurality of items set at a lower level than an item selected by the user. Among the plurality of items displayed in the side region, an item currently selected by the user is so displayed as to be discriminated from the other items. After the item selected has been discriminatively displayed for a prescribed time period, a guidance describing the item being selected is displayed in the side region close to the item selected.
