Abstract: An attachment structure for a vehicle master cylinder that suppresses displacement of a pedal towards the rear of the vehicle to make it possible to maintain large legroom in front of the driver's seat. A clutch pedal is fitted to a dashboard via a pedal bracket. The master cylinder is attached to the side surface sections of the pedal bracket by a fastening member at a flange section so as to capable of swinging around a fixed axis extending in the widthwise direction of the vehicle. The master cylinder and the clutch pedal are mechanically connected through a push rod. If an external force greater than a specified value is input, the master cylinder swings around a fixed axis extending in the widthwise direction of the vehicle body. The push rod also swings with the pivot shaft as a fulcrum, accompanying swinging of the master cylinder. Displacement of the master cylinder and the push rod towards the rear of the vehicle is controlled by the swinging itself.
