    Abstract: An earphone adaptor 6 includes an earphone adaptor body 7 having a jack 12, into which an earphone plug 4 of a pair of earphones 3 is plugged, and a plug 14, which can be plugged into an earphone jack 2 in a TV set 1, and a securing mechanism 8 securing the earphone adaptor body 7 to the TV set 1 in a state wherein the plug 14 is plugged into the earphone jack 2 of the TV set 1. This permits prevention of sudden output of sound from the loudspeakers of the TV set 1 due to the withdrawal of the earphone plug 4.
