  • Patent number: 8024158
Abstract: A management system of CAD data is provided, which stores sets of the CAD data, and a set of mesh conditions under which a CAE model is created from each of the sets of the CAD data and a set of analysis conditions under which CAE analysis on the created CAE model is performed associated with each set of the CAD data. Moreover, the management system of CAD data, to perform the CAE analysis on one of the sets of the CAD data, reads from the storage unit the set of the CAD data, and the set of the mesh conditions and the set of the analysis conditions associated with the set of the CAD data, creates the CAE model from the set of the CAD data under the read set of the mesh conditions, and perform the CAE analysis on the created CAE model under the read set of the analysis conditions.

  • Patent number: 6882893
Abstract: The present invention provides a design method, which makes the product development more efficient. The design is performed with the process including the following steps; a first step to prepare a three-dimensional CAM model S11, a second step to perform a CAE analysis for the three-dimensional CAM model S12, a third step to correct the three-dimensional CAM model on the basis of the CAE analysis if the defects exist S14, a fourth step to manufacture a mold on the basis of the three-dimensional CAM model S17, a fifth step to manufacture a trial product with the mold S18, a sixth step to test the trial product S19, a seventh step to correct the three-dimensional CAM model if the defects exist S21, an eighth step to iterate the fourth through seventh steps until the defects are solved (S21, S16 through S20), a ninth step to prepare the drawings on basis of the three-dimensional CAM model obtained at the eighth step S22.

  • Patent number: 5074374
Abstract: A power unit supporting apparatus for an automobile for supporting on a vehicle body a power unit including an engine portion having a crankshaft directed in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body and a drive shaft extended in a lateral direction of the vehicle body for driving wheels, and further including a first elastic support device for elastically supporting on the vehicle body a first end of the power unit which is far from a compartment, a second elastic support device for elastically supporting on the vehicle body that intermediate portion of the power unit which sandwiches the center of gravity of the power unit between the first end and the intermediate portion of the power unit, and a displacement defining device provided between the second end of the power unit close to the vehicle room and the vehicle body to resiliently restrain a vertical displacement of the second end in an amount more than a predetermined level, wherein the spring constants of the first and second elastic support devic

  • Patent number: 4672927
Abstract: A valve actuating mechanism for an overhead valve and overhead cam type internal combustion engine in which the camshaft is positioned above and between the valve and a cam follower seat member in the cylinder head. The cam follower has downwardly facing portions on each end for engaging the valve and seat number and an upwardly facing slipper face for engaging the cam on the camshaft for causing rocking or pivoting motion of the cam follower. The shape of the slipper face is formed to engage the cam at the start of the valve-lifting movement of the cam follower to minimize the lateral forces on the cam follower which otherwise would tend to cause shifting of the cam follower and resultant noise and wear.
