A lock mechanism serves to lock the orifice casing and the retaining cover together when the orifice casing and the retaining cover rotate relative to each other about an axis while the orifice casing and the retaining cover are overlapped with each other.

At least one resonance member is accommodated in the fluid chamber, and cooperates with an inner wall of the fluid chamber to define a resonance portion through which the fluid is caused to flow upon application of a vibrational load. The first elastic body includes a pair of thin-walled portions which are formed on diametrically opposite sides of the inner sleeve.

    Abstract: A fluid-filled cushioning device having a cylindrical elastic body mounted on an inner sleeve and having an orifice structure with an orifice formed therethrough is disclosed. A pair of annular elastic members each having a retainer member and an outer sleeve are mounted on the inner sleeve such that the retainer member is press-fitted in the axial end portion of the inner sleeve while the orifice structure is sandwiched between the axial end faces of the outer sleeves, in the axial direction. A bracket is mounted on the outer sleeves of the elastic members and is fixed to a support member, so that the bracket forces the outer sleeves against the orifice structure. The inner sleeve, elastic body and elastic members define two fluid-filled chambers which are separated from each other by the elastic body and which communicate with each other through the orifice.

At least one of opposite ends of the orifice is open at a bottom of the corresponding at least one of the pockets, and at least one stopper rubber block is secured to each of at least one of the closure members which closes the corresponding at least one of the pockets. Each rubber block extends into the corresponding one of the fluid chambers such that a free end of each rubber block is normally spaced apart from the corresponding open end of the orifice.
