An antireflection member 100 comprising a low refractive index layer 130 on a transparent substrate 110, in which the low refractive index layer 130 includes a binder resin and silica particles 132 and 134, a ratio of Si element attributed to the silica particles, obtained by analysis of a surface region of the low refractive index layer 130 by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, is 10.0 atomic percent or more and 18.0 atomic percent or less and a ratio of C element under the assumption that the ratio of Si element is defined to be 100 atomic percent is 180 atomic percent or more and 500 atomic percent or less.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an optical film having hardness and wipe-off resistance to solvents and capable of maintaining antistatic performance for a long period, and a method of producing the same. The optical film includes an optically-transparent substrate, and a hard coat layer having a thickness of 1 to 40 ?m on one side of the optically-transparent substrate. The hard coat layer includes an ionic liquid containing a cation and an anion, and a region between a depth of 50 nm and a depth of 700 nm from an interface of the hard coat layer on a side opposite to an optically-transparent substrate side has a peak of an abundance of the ionic liquid present in an area from the interface to the depth of 700 nm in a thickness direction of the hard coat layer.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an optical film and an optical display device which can suppress the occurrence of interference fringes. The optical film comprises a plurality of transparent layers. A first transparent layer and a second transparent layer, provided in contact with the first transparent layer, constituting the optical film are different from each other in refractive index of material constituting the layer. The contact interface between the first transparent layer and the second transparent layer is a light scattering interface, whereby the occurrence of interference fringes is suppressed. The optical display device comprises this optical film.
