Abstract: A cassette-type fuel tank can be removably mounted on a working machine equipped with an internal combustion engine. The fuel tank has an opening to which different closing caps can be selectively and removably attached. One cap is for use in transporting the fuel tank separate from the working machine, and another is for use when the fuel tank is attached to the working machine. The working machine has a tank-mounting means for removably holding the fuel tank below the internal combustion engine.

Abstract: A hand-held cleaner is disclosed which is capable of performing suction operation to suck fallen leaves, refuse and the like and blowing operation to drift them together selectively with ease, and as opposed to the conventional one, which is not required to be changed in a manner of holding handles to greatly change position of a body including an engine depending upon type of operation, thereby enabling various operations to be performed easily and improved operational efficiency and manageability to be realized. The hand-held cleaner 10 comprises a blower body 10A including a prime mover 12, and a blower suction path 20 and a blower blow-off path 30 which are located on said blower body 10A in such a manner that the axis S of the former and the axis F of the latter are substantially in parallel with each other when viewed in plan, said blower suction path 20 being adapted to be rotatable.

Abstract: The prime mover of a chain saw has an output shaft passing through the body of an oil pump. A fixing screw is inserted through an inserting hole provided in the body and is screwed into a threaded hole provided on the side of the prime mover. A cover plate, covering the area tip of the output shaft, is press fit onto the output shaft. The inserting hole is made as a threaded hole having a diameter through which the fixing screw is freely insertable but is also adapted to receive a removing screw which is larger in diameter than the fixing screw, and which abuts against the side of the prime mover. As a result, the inserting hole can be used in common also as the oil pump removing screwed hole and no extra removing screwed hole is required to be provided.

Abstract: A chain saw in which a body having an engine, carburetor and throttle rod and a handle frame on which is located a fitting mounting a trigger are connected with each other though vibration damping members. The trigger is provided with a plurality of bends between a contact part and a finger grip so as to have a predetermined spring effect. The contact part is arranged in opposition to the end of the throttle rod and spaced from it. As contact part abuts the rod and the chain saw is flex the resilient spring effect from the bends reduces the vibration transmitted to the handle.

Abstract: A portable work machine equipped with an internal combustion engine. A starting pressure reducing device is mounted on a cylinder of the engine for reducing, at starting of the engine, pressure within a combustion chamber defined in the cylinder. A hole is formed at a portion of an engine cover which is within reach of a finger of a hand holding a handle, and is closed by a flexible cap. An actuating portion of the starting pressure reducing device is disposed inside the cap.

Abstract: An intake silencer comprising a cup-shaped body made of elastic material to cover an air inlet of carburetor chamber of an internal combustion engine. A plurality of intake passages are provided to pass through side walls of the body. A circumferential groove is formed along an edge of an opening portion of the body. An air filter element is received along its edge by the circumferential groove.
