  • Patent number: 7419217
Abstract: A reclining device of two-point hinged type including a reclining plate element having one end connected via first lock mechanism with lower hinge point about which the reclining plate element is inclined and another end connected via second lock mechanism with upper hinge point about which a seat back is foldable forwardly. A forward inclination limit point is defined to limit forward rotation of the reclining plate element. Bifurcated flexible wire cable is arranged between unlocking plate and the first and second lock mechanisms, such that operation of the unlocking plate causes synchronized unlocking operation of both first and second lock mechanisms, whereupon the reclining plate element is automatically rotated to the forward inclination limit point, thereby allowing the seat back to be foldable relative to the upper hinge point in the thus-inclined reclining plate element down to a non-use position, with the backward side thereof extending along a substantially horizontal line.

  • Patent number: 7204552
Abstract: A device for protecting a cervical spine of seat occupant in seat back, wherein a lever element is movably provided and connected with a headrest stay element at one end thereof. The lever element has another end disposed at a return spring element. A pressure receiver element of soft and elastic property is provided, which includes a first engagement portion and second engagement portion. The foregoing one and another ends of the lever element are engaged in those first and second engagement portions, respectively, so that the lever element and return spring element are connected together via the pressure receiver element so as to be free of contact with each other.

  • Patent number: 6547331
Abstract: Arrangement for securing a long slide rail device with support legs in a vehicle floor, the long slide rail device including a long lower rail, wherein, among the support legs, a leg member is provided at a vulnerable point of the long lower rail which is defined between a seat storage area and a seat home position area in a vehicle or automobile, so that a part of great force applied from a vehicle seat will be escaped through the leg member to the vehicle floor, thereby preventing undesired bending or deformation of the long lower rail at that vulnerable point.
