    Abstract: A connector is to be joined to a mating connector. The connector includes a terminal fitting including an electrical connection portion to be connected to a mating terminal of the mating connector, a housing including an insertion hole, the electrical connection portion inserted through the insertion hole and a rear holder attached to the housing such that the rear holder presses and holds the terminal fitting against the housing. The housing includes a reference surface to restrict the electrical connection portion, with a portion of the terminal fitting abutting the reference surface, from being further inserted into the insertion hole. The rear holder includes a pressing pin to press, when the rear holder is attached to the housing, the terminal fitting from a rear side of the terminal fitting such that the pressing pin is partially and plastically deformed and the terminal fitting is pressed against the reference surface.
