    Abstract: The outer shape of an airbag is formed by an airbag main body. The airbag has an insertion opening, which extends along the periphery of the airbag. The gas generator includes bolts. The lower part of the airbag main body is configured by a lower fabric portion, which has first insertion holes in the periphery. The bolts are inserted into the first insertion holes and fastened to the seat portion. A harness, which is connected to the gas generator, is drawn out of the airbag main body through the insertion opening. Among the first insertion holes, the one that is farthest from the harness is a first specified insertion hole. The lower fabric portion has a first slit, which extends from the inner periphery of the first specified insertion hole in a direction away from the adjacent general insertion hole.

A part of the contact preventing member that is in the vicinity of the support portion is flexible. The contact preventing member prevents the airbag from contacting the support portion when the airbag is inflated.

The guide member 30 includes a guide portion 30c and a first bending portion 30a, which extends from the guide portion 30c. The guide portion 30c is arranged to face a surface of the airbag 27 facing the interior of the vehicle at least in an area forward of the right side wall 24a. The first bending portion 30a is flexed rightward when receiving load from the left.

The airbag includes an inflation portion that entirely surrounds the limited thickness portion and is inflated with gas from the inflator. This prevents an elbow portion of the occupant from receiving an excessive force directed laterally inward.
