  • Patent number: 7086529
Abstract: There is provided a packaging material for a photographic light-sensitive material, the packaging material being formed from a resin composition that contains a compound having an unsaturated double bond or that contains a poly(conjugated diene) component, a metal ion that can promote a catalytic oxidation reaction of the unsaturated double bond and the poly(conjugated diene), and a chelating agent that can coordinate the metal ion in an amount sufficient to suppress the catalytic oxidation reaction. There is also provided a photographic light-sensitive material package formed by housing the photographic light-sensitive material in the packaging material for the photographic light-sensitive material.

  • Patent number: 6672193
Abstract: A clearance between an upper knife and a lower knife of a slitter is set at 30 to 100 &mgr;m, and the slitter cuts a sensitized printing plate. In the sensitized printing plate cut by the slitter, there is a shear droop which is 20 to 30 &mgr;m high at the cut part, and a burr which is less than 50 &mgr;m high. If the maximum height of a surface roughness of a cut surface of the sensitized printing plate is 1.2 &mgr;m to 12 &mgr;m on the average, a hydrophilic property of the cut part improves and the stain of a frame can be decreased.

  • Patent number: 4982600
Abstract: To measure the period with which a surface defect recurs in a surface of a web-like material moving in its lengthwise direction, surface defects distributed over the surface are detected in that lengthwise direction. Positional data and distance data as to the detected surface defects relative to one another are collected for a predetermined length of the web-like material. The web-like material is determined to have a periodic surface defect appearing with a period between predetermined maximum and minimum periods when the distance data include a distance equivalent to an elemental period that is a whole-number multiple of a fundamental period.

  • Patent number: 4536264
Abstract: A method for continuously electrolytically processing a metal web in which the consumption rate of graphite electrodes is remarkably reduced. Auxiliary anodes made of a nonreactive material are provided separately from the graphite electrodes. One half of a symmetrical waveform is applied directly between the graphite electrodes, while for the other half of the waveform, a portion of the current is distributed through the auxiliary anodes. In this manner, the magnitude of the current contributing to a cathode reaction on the surfaces of the graphite electrodes is made larger than the magnitude of the current contributing to an anode reaction on the surfaces of the graphite electrodes, thereby reducing the consumption rate of the graphite electrodes.
