  • Publication number: 20170354871
Abstract: An example of a game controller includes a key top of an operation button, a tubular light-guiding portion surrounding a periphery of the key top, a light-shielding portion surrounding a periphery of the light-guiding portion, an elastic member placed immediately below the key top and configured to allow light to pass therethrough, a switch placed below the elastic member, and an LED. The key top and the light-guiding portion are exposed through a surface of a housing of the game controller. Light from the LED is incident on the light-guiding portion and guided to a surface of the housing through the inside of the light-guiding portion. The light-guiding portion is surrounded by the light-shielding portion, and therefore, light does not come out to the periphery of the light-guiding portion. Consequently, it is possible to cause the periphery of the operation button to emit light in a ring-shaped manner.

  • Patent number: 9381428
Abstract: An information processing apparatus is set to always obtain information, even while an application is not being executed, and effectively using the obtained information. A state of the environment in a place where the information processing apparatus is present is detected. Detection data indicating the state of the environment detected by the detection section is stored. An operation mode is switched at least between a normal mode in which power is being supplied to the application execution section and the predetermined application can be executed, and a power saving mode in which at least supply of power to the application execution section is restricted and the predetermined application cannot be executed. At least in the power saving mode, a state of the environment is detected, and detection data indicating the state of the environment detected is stored in the first storage section at predetermined time intervals.

  • Publication number: 20140141652
Abstract: A non-limiting example electronic device includes a battery accommodating portion in which a battery unit is accommodated. A male connector is provided on wires drawn-out from a main unit of the battery unit, and the male connector is inserted (connected) to a female connector which is fixed on a circuit board provided within a housing, and a battery lid is attached to the housing. The battery lid is provided with a projection on a surface which is rendered as an inner surface side when the battery lid is attached, and the projection prevents a connection state of the male connector and the female connector from being disconnected. That is, the projection restrains a movement of the male connector in a direction that the male connector comes out.
