  • Publication number: 20080289971
Abstract: An ultrasonic cleaning method and an ultrasonic cleaning device are provided, which are capable of performing simultaneously cleaning and sterilization of medical appliances or the like, and which can also be used for washing hands for disinfection without any special waste water treatment. The ultrasonic cleaning method for cleaning an object to be cleaned by using an ultrasonic wave includes the steps of putting cleaning fluid and the object to be cleaned in a cleaning tank (16), and applying ultrasonic vibrations to the cleaning fluid from an ultrasonic vibration member disposed in the cleaning tank (16) while ejecting air containing ozone into the cleaning fluid. The vibration portion has a communicating conduit 40 that opens at the surface thereof, and air containing ozone is discharged into the cleaning fluid from the communicating conduit.

  • Patent number: 6285629
Abstract: An ultrasonic vibration and a voltage are applied to a submerged marine structure to exert thereon vibrational and electric energies, thereby effecting deterioration prevention of the structure. An ultrasonic vibration unit comprises an ultrasonic vibrator made from a piezoelectric ceramic plate with an electrode on each side thereof; power supply wires connected to the respective electrodes; a support member for fixedly supporting the ultrasonic vibrator and transmitting the ultrasonic vibration to the structure; and a resin coat for protecting the ultrasonic vibrator against seawater. The ultrasonic vibration unit is used for preventing deterioration of the submerged marine structure.

  • Patent number: 5875789
Abstract: This invention provides a method for altering hairs by bringing the hairs into contact with an elastic body vibrating ultrasonically. At first, alternate vibrations are generated on a rod portion (i.e. a cylindrical elastic body). The cylindrical shaped elastic body does not rotate at that time. However, when an object is in contact with the surface of the cylindrical shaped elastic body, the object is rotated. Further when the object is kept stationary, the object is squeezed by spiral vibrations. Upon the hairs being in contact with the circumferential surface of the cylindrical shaped elastic body, the contacting part of the hairs are squeezed in a circumferential direction by the vibrations of the cylindrical shaped elastic body. As a result, the cross-section of each hair is deformed and remains so deformed such that perming of the hair is completed.

  • Patent number: 4375900
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a control device of transmitting an ultrasonic pulse from an ultrasonic transmitter to an ultrasonic receiver by disposing the transmitter and the receiver between two movable members which are placed in a variable relation in linear distance with each other, converting aerial propagation time of the pulse from the transmitter to the receiver into an electrical means, memorizing and holding a distance between the two members by the electrical means, and reading the memorized distance at any desired time and reproducing the distance. The disclosure also relates to a control device using the system.

  • Patent number: 4327427
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system of automatically controlling the distance between two members placed in a relatively variable relation with each other with respect to distance on a straight line. One of the two members is provided with a transmitter capable of generating an ultrasonic pulse excellent both in directivity and in damping characteristics, and the other is provided with a receiver with the same in characteristics as the transmitter and which is disposed in an opposed relation with respect to the transmitter. The distance between the two members is automatically controlled by causing an ultrasonic pulse to be transmitted and received respectively by the transmitter and the receiver.

  • Patent number: 4326274
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system for aerially transmitting an ultrasonic view of a vibration mode, small in angle of direction, in a clear state and to a transmitter and a receiver used in the system. According to the system, an ultrasonic pulse can be used for distance measurement, control and other signal means even at relatively short distance.
