  • Patent number: 7327527
Abstract: A lens supporting frame is provided and includes a lens holder supporting a lens and a moving frame which is fitted to a cylindrical part of the lens holder to support the same. Ribs are provided at equal intervals in a rotation direction on a rear end face of the lens holder, the ribs having a plurality of inclined surfaces inclined respectively toward the front or rear ends of an optical axis. Abutting parts are provided on a rear end face of the moving frame so as to abut on the ribs. When the lens holder is rotated after mounting it in the moving frame, parts of the lens holder facing the abutting parts are moved in directions along the optical axis as a result of abutment between the inclined surfaces of the ribs and the abutting parts to change the inclination of the lens holder relative to the optical axis.

  • Patent number: 7165849
Abstract: An image displayed on a liquid crystal panel is projected on a projection surface by a projection lens such that the optical axis of the projection lens is perpendicular to the projection surface. An optical axis of a distance measurement light and an optical axis of a light receiving lens are each inclined a specified angle with respect to the optical axis of the projection lens to be not perpendicular to the projection surface so as to reduce noise caused by specularly reflected light that otherwise would be detected by the distance measurement unit when a highly reflective whiteboard is utilized as the projection surface. The distance measurement unit is formed by unitizing a light emitting element, a light emitting lens, the light receiving lens, and a light receiving element, and the distance measurement unit is held with the projection lens by a common holder.

  • Patent number: 6913257
Abstract: An image reader comprising a reading glass plate facing an optical scanning system and a platen roller provided opposite to the reading glass plate; both being grounded. It is combined with an automatic sheet feeder, which comprises a retardation roller containing torque limiters and corrugation rollers. An optimized combination of these rollers provides an ideal sheet transfer and avoids overlaid sheet transfer. Generation of paper dust and toner particles is minimized in the optimized sheet transfer. Furthermore, sticking of such dust and particles on the reading glass plate and the platen roller is prevented in an image reader of the present invention. Thus the image reader reads out high quality images without being affected by dispersed paper dust or toner particles, while overlaid transfer of mother document sheets is prevented in the sheet feeder.

  • Publication number: 20050099609
Abstract: An image displayed on a liquid crystal panel is projected on a projection surface by a projection lens. An optical axis of a projection lens is perpendicular to the projection surface. However, alight emitting optical axis of a distance measurement light and an optical axis of a light receiving lens is inclined with respect to the optical axis of a projection lens, not to be perpendicular to the projection surface. A distance measurement unit is formed by unitizing a light emitting element, a light emitting lens, the light receiving lens, and a light receiving element, and the distance measurement unit is held with the projection lens by a common holder. Even if a surface like a whiteboard which has high reflectivity is used as the projection surface, high accuracy of the distance measurement is kept because diffused light from the light emitting lens, which is regularly reflected from the projection surface, is away from an effective photodetecting region of the light receiving element.

  • Patent number: 6672579
Abstract: There are disclosed a pressing force adjustable roller unit, a sheet member or transport system in an image processing apparatus provided with the roller unit, and a sheet member supply system in which multi-transport can securely be prevented. In a holder to which a roller is attached via a holding shaft to move the roller in a load direction from a peripheral surface, a torsion spring is connected in a direction in which the holding shaft is pressed downward, a windup degree of a winding portion of the torsion spring is adjusted by engagement of an engaging arm projecting from the winding portion with a first or second stopper disposed on a holder side, and a roller pressing force can therefore be adjusted. There are also provided a hopper for piling sheets, a supply roller for picking up and feeding out the sheet, and a multi-transport preventing roller pair of a separation roller and a retard roller so that the hopper can vertically move with respect to the supply roller.

  • Patent number: 6646767
Abstract: A rotating shaft coupling has a plurality of rotating-shaft-coupling-members. One of the rotating-shaft-coupling-members is multi-layered by a coupler connecting a shaft thereto, an elastic body and an inertia body which has a mass activating a torsion load in a rotating direction when the elastic body is rotating. A plurality of the rotating-shaft-coupling-members are assembled into the rotating shaft coupling. By this construction, transmission of the vibration from a motor side to a driven side can be effectively suppressed.

  • Patent number: 6540222
Abstract: In order to securely prevent or detect overlap feeding of sheet materials, there is provided a sheet material feeding mechanism which deforms the sheet materials on a feeding line so as to form a gap between the overlapping sheet materials which firmly cling to each other. For preventing the overlap feeding of the sheets, the drive relationship between a feeding roller and a pair of a parting roller and a retarding roller located on the downstream side from the feeding roller is optimized to form the gap between the sheet materials. Further, for detecting the overlap feeding of the sheets, bending correction ribs are provided on guide plates formed on the upper and lower sides of the feeding line of the sheet materials so as to deform the sheet materials fed in the overlapping condition, thereby the gap is formed between the overlapping sheets.

  • Patent number: 6260839
Abstract: The present invention provides a paper feeding apparatus for use in an image reader, e.g. such as an image scanner, which is designed especially to prevent overlap feeding of sheets of paper, and can adjust both the pressing forces between a hopper for carrying sheets of paper in a stacked manner and a pickup roller for paper feeding and between a parting roller and a retard roller for the prevention of overlap feeding. The paper feeding apparatus of the present invention serves to feed the sheets of paper one by one from the hopper and to restrict overlap feeding by the parting roller and the retard roller. This optimizes the paper feeding in the pass line from the hopper to the preventing mechanism for overlap feeding, thereby achieving a secure prevention overlap feeding.
