  • Publication number: 20080012967
Abstract: Correction is performed on the pixel values of a plurality of defective pixels forming a defective area of an image representing a subject image. The defective area is an area corresponding to a defective portion of a detector. A plurality of weighted normal pixel values are obtained by weighting the pixel value of each of normal pixels adjacent to the periphery of the defective area for each pair of a correction-target defective pixel and each of the normal pixels using a weighting coefficient. The weighting coefficient becomes smaller as a distance between the defective pixel and the normal pixel becomes longer. Then, an average value of the plurality of weighted normal pixel values is calculated, and the pixel value of the correction-target defective pixel is corrected using the calculated average value. This process is performed on each of the defective pixels.

  • Patent number: 7199389
Abstract: A residual image signal, which represents a residual image remaining on a stimulable phosphor sheet having been subjected to an erasing operation, is acquired. A radiation image of an object is then recorded on the stimulable phosphor sheet, from which the residual image signal has been detected. A radiation image signal, which represents the radiation image of the object, is then acquired, the thus acquired radiation image signal containing a residual image signal, which represents the residual image. The residual image signal is subtracted from the radiation image signal, and a radiation image signal, which represents the radiation image of the object and which is free from the residual image signal, is acquired.

  • Publication number: 20060202136
Abstract: A stimulable phosphor sheet is conveyed in a sub-scanning direction while projecting the stimulating light in the main scanning direction, an exposed area on the stimulable phosphor sheet is imaged on each light receiving portion of a line sensor which is formed by causing the same to correspond to a sub-scanning direction, the stimulated light emitted from the exposed area is photoelectrically converted by each light receiving portion to obtain a partial image signal, and an image signal representing the radiation image recorded on the stimulable phosphor sheet is obtained by summing the partial image signals obtained by the light receiving portions in each light receiving line arranged in the sub-scanning direction. Each partial image signal is obtained by converting the stimulated light received when the same area on the stimulable phosphor sheet is imaged on the light receiving portions which are arranged in the sub-scanning direction at different timings.

  • Patent number: 6878957
Abstract: An image detector for use has a constitution of serial lamination of a first stripe electrode, a first rectifying layer with multiple photodiodes which takes on conductivity upon receiving irradiation of recording light, a second rectifying layer with multiple diodes of a reverse polarity to the first rectifying layer, and a second stripe electrode. Upon recording, a voltage is applied between the first stripe electrode and the second stripe electrode, whereby uniform electric charges are accumulated in the capacitor. Then, the recording light is irradiated from the first stripe electrode side, so that electric charges for a latent image on the capacitor are annihilated in accordance with a dosage of the recording light. Upon retrieval, a given voltage is applied between each of elements on the first stripe electrode and elements on the second stripe electrode, whereby a charged currents flowing into the image detector 10 is detected.

  • Publication number: 20050057577
Abstract: Decreases in image quality that occur, when a plurality of image data groups that represent a plurality of image portions that have a shared region are synthesized to generate an image data set that represents a single composite image, are suppressed. First and second image data groups, which respectively represent two image portions that have a shared region, are prepared. Correction processes are uniformly administered on pixel data within the first image data group so that a representative value of the pixel data within the shared region thereof match a representative value of the shared region of the second image data group. Then, an image data set that represents the composite image is generated by synthesizing the corrected first image data group and the second image data group.

  • Publication number: 20050053306
Abstract: Generation of ringing components during extraction of striped blue components from an image is suppressed, in an image processing apparatus for removing striped blur components from the image. A preprocess is executed on an image data set, which is obtained by detecting light with line sensors that perform scanning in a sub scanning direction. The preprocess reduces drastic changes in pixel values in a first direction, which is perpendicular to the sub scanning direction. A filter process is executed on the preprocessed image data set to extract image data that represents striped blur components that extend in the sub scanning direction. The extracted image data is subtracted from the image data set to remove striped blur components.

  • Patent number: 6846154
Abstract: In a pump turbine which can be operated in a pumping mode or a generating mode by switching the rotating direction of a runner, the discharge passing through the runner is adjusted based on a wicket gate opening; the speed of the runner is sensed; a target speed is temporarily set to a first speed different from a rated speed on generation starting; a response speed of a speed control via discharge adjusting means is controlled to a lower level after the speed reaches the target speed than that before the speed reaches the target speed; and finally, the target speed is slowly led to the rated speed, thus enhancing the stability of the speed when the turbine is started and enlarging a head range in which synchronization is achieved.

  • Patent number: 6828539
Abstract: In the state where X-rays are not projected, image signals S1 are read out from a detector 1, and the values of these image signals S1 are stored as offset correction values in a correction table 16. The detector 1 is then irradiated with X-rays having a maximum dose of radiation to determine the gain correction values at which all the values of signals S3, which are the image signals S1 after the correction, are at a maximum value which can be taken as the signal value after the correction, and these values are stored in the correction table 16. Then, a subject is actually photographed to obtain image signals S1, and the image signals S1 are corrected for the offsets and gains by an offset adjusting means 11 and an AGC amplifier, on the basis of the offset correction values and the gain correction values stored in the correction table 16.

  • Patent number: 6703959
Abstract: In a signal detecting method of repeating the processes of initiating accumulation of charge signals by switching an integrating amplifier to an accumulator mode, retaining a first electric signal outputted from the integrating amplifier immediately after switching to the accumulator mode, finding a difference as a signal component between a second electric signal outputted from the integrating amplifier immediately before switching to a reset mode after completing accumulation of the charge signals and the first electric signal, and converting and outputting the signal component into a digital signal. Here, the signal component concerning a first charge signal is retained by second signal retaining means and then converted into the digital signal. Further, the integrating amplifier is switched to the accumulator mode after completing accumulation concerning the first charge signal but before completing conversion into the digital signal to initiate accumulation concerning a second charge signal.

  • Patent number: 6602044
Abstract: A pump turbine includes a runner connected to a generator motor, a water discharge controller for adjusting the quantity of water passing through the runner and a governor for detecting a rotational speed of the runner and controlling the water discharge controller to get a predetermined rotational speed of the runner. Upon a load rejection which shuts off the generator motor from an electric power system, the governor is controlled to make a target speed value of the runner after a load rejection higher than a target speed value before the load rejection. The target speed value is a reference speed to be compared with actual speed so that the governor determines when or how to open or close a water discharge controller in response to a balance between the two speeds.
