  • Publication number: 20060105814
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a portable telephone in which a display portion can be used as a mirror and electric power can be saved under a key locked state. In the telephone according to the present invention, in a front surface of a display portion (10), a panel (8) that is brought into a transparent state when voltage is not applied thereto, and is brought into a mirror surface state when voltage is applied is arranged. When the telephone is set to a key locked state, the panel (8) is brought to the mirror surface state and the display of the display portion (10) is turned off. Under a specific condition that, for instance, a call is received in the key locked state, the panel (8) can be suitably brought to the transparent state and the display of the display portion (10) can be turned on. Under a key unlocked state, while any key is operated, at least the panel (8) is brought to the transparent state and the display of the display portion (10) is turned on.

  • Patent number: 6573467
Abstract: A contact structure of a switch comprises a first contact (1), and one or more doughnut-like second contacts (2) surrounding the first contact (1), and the second contacts (2) are provided with one or more band-like contacts (3a), (3b), (3c), (3d) extending to the opposite side from the first contact (1). With this structure, an area of a metal pattern portion of the second contact (2) becomes smaller as compared with prior art. In a compact electronic device used for a numeric keypad of a mobile telephone or the like, the contact structure can be reduced in size and weight to the utmost and resources can be saved to the utmost.

  • Patent number: 6563619
Abstract: An infrared data communication device which enables data transmission by infrared light, without provision of dedicated light projection/receiving windows and an infrared light emitting device or an infrared light detector on an outer packaging body of the device. An infrared light detector 19 is arranged on a circuit substrate 18 on an inside of a liquid crystal panel of a liquid crystal display 11, and then infrared data is received via the liquid crystal panel to convert electrically and send out to an infrared communicating portion. Also, a light emitting diode 15c, which informs a user of an incoming call by flashing, and an infrared light emitting device 15b are arranged on an inside of a photogenesis transparency component 15a of a lighting display portion 15, and the infrared data are emitted (transmitted) from the infrared light emitting device 15b via the photogenesis transparency component 15a.
