  • Patent number: 5018484
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling an electric cooling fan of an automotive vehicle with an engine, having a radiator facing the electric cooling fan for cooling the engine coolant, comprising a device for generating an engine start signal, a coolant temperature sensor for sensing the engine coolant temperature, a judgement device responsive to the engine start signal for comparing the coolant temperature with a preset temperature, and generating a first judgement signal when the coolant temperature is lower than the preset temperature, a cooling fan control temperature setting device responsive to the first judgement signal for setting a cooling fan control temperature in accordance with the coolant temperature, the cooling fan control temperature being set higher with lower coolant temperature at the engine start, a temperature judging device for comparing the cooling fan control temperature with the coolant temperature after engine start and for outputting a second judgement signal, and a device responsive to th

  • Patent number: 4928637
Abstract: A system for cooling an internal combustion engine having a turbocharger includes an engine coolant recirculating circuit and a turbocharger coolant recirculating circuit. Coolant is fed from the former recirculating circuit to the latter recirculating circuit. The turbocharger coolant recirculating circuit includes a coolant feeding tank at a higher position than those of the turbocharger and a radiator. Coolant is recirculated from a water jacket for the engine via a coolant intake pipe, a water jacket for the turbocharger, a coolant discharge pipe, the coolnt feeding tank, a coolant return pipe and the pump. Air in the both recirculating circuits is collected in an air venting portion of the radiator and then transferred to an air chamber in the feeding tank via an one-way valve.

  • Patent number: 4894856
Abstract: A cordless telephone set is comprised of a base unit and a handset unit connected by an radio frequency (RF) link. The base unit collects channel information indicating that a channel is busy or idle. The channel information is continuously renewed during a stand-by mode, and the last channel information is stored in a channel RAM of the base unit. The same uptodate information is also given to a channel RAM in the handset unit during the same mode. Thus, when the stand-by mode is released, both units can quickly search and kind an idle channel common to the two, with reference to the uptodate channel information stored in the respective channel RAM's.
