    Abstract: A recording sheet finishing apparatus connected with an image forming apparatus, in which recording sheets delivered from the image forming apparatus are stapled and the stapled sheets are ejected. The apparatus includes a plurality of stackers each having at least one stapler. The apparatus further includes a control means in which the recording sheets delivered from the image forming apparatus are stapled alternately by the staplers for each set of recording sheets and after that, each of the stapled set of recording sheets are delivered from the stapler to a delivery sheet tray, where a conveyor belt which transports the stack is operated at two different speeds with an initial speed followed by a faster speed to prevent damage to the stack.

    Abstract: A sheet conveyance apparatus composed of a unit which is driven independently of an image forming part of the electrophotographic copying apparatus. The sheet conveyance apparatus is disposed between a sheet feed apparatus and the image-forming part having a photoreceptor on the electrographic copying apparatus. A loop is consistently maintained on the sheet as it is transported within the sheet conveyance apparatus which also includes registration rollers incorporated therein. After the loop is formed, the sheet is stopped at the registration rollers to correct skew. Then, the registration rollers convey the sheet to the image-forming part.

    Abstract: A recording apparatus includes an electrostatic image support and a fixing device. The toner image formed on the electrostatic image support is transferred onto a copy paper, and the copy paper is separated from the surface of the electrostatic image support and then fed to the fixing device to fuse the toner image, for example by heat. A device is provided for distinguishing the relation in the length between the distance (A) from the separating position at which the copy paper is separated from the electrostatic image support to the fixing position of the fixing device, and the length (B) of the copy paper in the transport direction. A control device controls the relative circumferential speeds of the electrostatic image support and the copy paper transport apparatus provided inside the fixing device as a function of the distinguished relation between said lengths (A) and (B).
