  • Patent number: 11988982
Abstract: A heater includes a substrate, a first heating element and a second heating element disposed on a first surface of the substrate, a temperature detection element, and a conductor. The temperature detection element is disposed on a second surface of the substrate opposite the first surface of the substrate. The conductor is disposed on the second surface and connected to the temperature detection element. The first heating element has a first distance from the temperature detection element in a lateral direction of the substrate orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the substrate, and the second heating element has a second distance that is greater than the first distance from the temperature detection element in the lateral direction. As viewed in a thickness direction of the substrate orthogonal to the lateral direction and the longitudinal direction of the substrate, the conductor overlaps the first heating element and the second heating element.

  • Patent number: 11968889
Abstract: A light-emitting element having a long lifetime is provided. A light-emitting element exhibiting high emission efficiency in a high luminance region is provided. A light-emitting element includes a light-emitting layer between a pair of electrodes. The light-emitting layer contains a first organic compound, a second organic compound, and a phosphorescent compound. The first organic compound is represented by a general formula (GO). The molecular weight of the first organic compound is greater than or equal to 500 and less than or equal to 2000. The second organic compound is a compound having an electron-transport property. In the general formula (GO), Ar1 and Ar2 each independently represent a fluorenyl group, a spirofluorenyl group, or a biphenyl group, and Ar3 represents a substituent including a carbazole skeleton.

  • Patent number: 11927894
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes first and second image bearing members and first and second developing members. The controller controls to execute first and second controls based on image information in a case that the first developing member is separated from the first image bearing member when an operation in which the image is sequentially transferred to a transferred member from the first and second image bearing members is terminated. The first developing member is started to separate from the first image bearing member in the first control after an end of an image forming area on the first image bearing member in a moving direction passes through the first transfer position, and in the second control after the end of the image forming area on the first image bearing member in the moving direction passes through the developing position and before the end of the image forming area reaches the first transfer position.

  • Patent number: 4840593
Abstract: A process is disclosed which prepares a low pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp having a bulb and an end plate connected to the bottom of the bulb. The steps involve the application of an adhesive on one surface of the end plate, and the subsequent insertion of an exhaust tube into the end plate in such a way that an enlarged diameter portion of the exhust tube has an adhesive formed on this portion. As a result of the location and the structure of the steps, it is possible to provide a single step method of heating which functions to perform the essential bonding of all parts.

  • Patent number: 4746346
Abstract: A method for producing an air-tight, heat-resistant plate for a particular use in manufacturing bulbous fluorescent lamp, which comprises: preparing a shaping material by mixing an inorganic filler composed of alumina powder and silica powder in a specified compositional ratio, and glass powder having a thermal expansion coefficient of 8.5 to 11.5.times.10.sup.-6 /.degree.C., both inorganic filler and glass material being blended at a predetermined ratio then, forming the shaping material into a shaped product of any desired configuration by a known shaping method; thereafter heating this shaped body to a temperature, at which the glass powder used becomes molten and fused, thereby rendering it to be a burned body.

  • Patent number: 4725298
Abstract: A low pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp forms an electric discharge path by the use of a bulb placed on an end plate and the bulb is formed by a process which results in the connecting outer side surfaces of juxtaposed glass tubes through communication holes formed in the outer side surfaces respectively. The process involves placing the juxtaposed glass tubes so that their outer surfaces are opposed in a contacting state. A portion of each of the glass tubes is heated in order to form a communication hole through the utilization of a burner inserted through an open end into the interior of each of the glass tubes in order to cause fusion of that particular portion in each tube to thereby form the communication hole by wind pressure.

  • Patent number: 4703227
Abstract: Both legs (1a, 1b) of a U-shaped bulb are brought into a mutually contacting state or are opposed to each other with a space of gap (31) and end parts (1a', 1b') of the legs are directly put on an end plate (10) so as to form an electric discharge path in the U-shaped bulb. Since the legs (1a, 1b) are in contact with each other within limit of elastic deformation of a connecting part (2a) of the bulb (1), breakage of the bulb is avoidable even when an external force is applied to the bulb so as to bring the legs (1a, 1b) closer.

  • Patent number: 4475058
Abstract: A discharge lamp having a discharge path-defining member which so defines the discharge path in the bulb that it runs in a convoluted manner with interlinked passages running between the top and the bottom of the bulb, wherein the top portion of the discharge path-defining member is provided with a top plate which permits one of the curved passage-interlinking portions at the bulb top to pass along the upper surface thereof, such that the shadow of the discharge path-defining member is eliminated from the bulb top and that the shape of the bulb can be freely selected, also enabling the lamp to be designed such that it is not easily broken, the discharge path-defining member can be easily and intimately fitted, and that the output of light is not reduced in the bulb top region.
