  • Patent number: 7552388
Abstract: In the present invention, image data is edited in response to a demand transmitted from a data-processing apparatus through a network. A moving-picture server (3) acquires a scenario consisting of a plurality of scenes, each lasting for a given time, is acquired in response to a demand made by a personal computer (1-1). The server acquires from a temporary edition space (6) a given number of original data items that will be used in the scenario, also in response to a demand made by the data-processing apparatus. The moving-picture server (3) selects prescribed ones of the original data items acquired and allocate them to the scenes of the scenario acquired. The server corrects the original data items selected, in accordance with the prescribed image data items that have been allocated to the scenes of the scenario. The image data is thereby edited.

  • Patent number: 7499982
Abstract: In an information processing device, server connection method, program storage medium, and network system, a connection is made to a pre-appointed access point more easily. The present invention is designed such that a user transmits to an ASP 32 over the Internet 5 user registration data necessary to secure his/her exclusive storage area prepared in the server 39 placed at the ASP 32, and that the user receives from the ASP 32 over the Internet 5 a URL designated as the access point indicating his/her exclusive storage area meeting the user registration data, based on which connection is made automatically to the access point in the content server 39 over the Internet 5, thus making it possible to connect to a pre-appointed access point with increased ease without forcing the user to perform an input operation for the URL.

  • Patent number: 7487205
Abstract: A method and a computer readable medium for implementing the method provide a desired kind of content to a client according to a time frame set up in a providing schedule. The method includes storing plural kinds of contents in a exclusive write storage area, the exclusive write storage area storing only contents provided by a single person, recognizing a demand time corresponding to a demand from the person for a desired kind of content to be sent over a network from the stored contents, judging the desired kind of content from the stored contents to be provided over the network to the client in a time frame set up in a providing schedule based on the demand time, and providing the desired kind of content to the client according to the time frame set up in the providing schedule.

  • Patent number: 7461124
Abstract: An apparatus provides a desired content over a network according to a received schedule time. The desired content is selected from content provided by a client and stored by the apparatus. The apparatus notifies the client over the network that the desired contents cannot be provided at one schedule time if the number of contents to be provided at that one schedule time reaches an upper limit.

  • Patent number: 7447737
Abstract: A content providing device, content providing method, program storage media, content providing system and content reservation control method are disclosed. Many kinds of contents to be provided in a time schedule frame matching the time demanded are sequentially provided to a client PC 4 based on a providing schedule set up to provide plural kinds of contents in each time schedule frame one by one, which keeps a client interested. A plurality of user PCs 2 share the exclusive storage area in the content server 39 and thus contents can be supplied to many and unspecific persons who have accessed. When the number of contents to be provided simultaneously at a desired time on the providing schedule has reached the upper value, reservations are controlled, thereby preventing the lowering of content transferring speed and ensuring a speedy provision.

  • Patent number: 7392315
Abstract: In a content supply system 100, in order to use a streaming server 102 to perform a live distribution, a user PC 106 used makes a reservation for a time zone, etc. to a server reservation control center 101. When the user PC 106 sends desired reservation information to the server reservation control center 101 via the Internet 103, if the reservation is accepted, a reservation ID only used for authentication of the reservation is created and sent from the server reservation control center 101 to the user PC 106 via the Internet 103. When a distribution request is sent from the user PC 106 to the streaming server 102, authentication processing using this reservation ID is performed.

  • Patent number: 7386623
Abstract: In a content live distribution, to notify people who are wanted to see the content that the contents live distribution will be performed, without the need for the content provider to carry out any troublesome operations. In a content supply system, a provider uses a streaming server to perform live distribution and makes a reservation for the use of a time zone, etc. to a server reservation control center with a user PC. In the case where the user PC sends desired reservation information including e-mail addresses of people who are wanted to see the content, to the server reservation control center over the Internet, when the reservation is permitted, the server reservation control center sends an e-mail notifying that a content distribution will be performed to each e-mail address.

  • Patent number: 7334022
Abstract: In a content distribution system, content distribution control server, content transmission processing control method, content transmission processing control program, content transmission processing control program storage medium, content transmission device, content transmission control program, and content transmission control program storage medium, content can be reliably transmitted in accordance with the communication environment of a user terminal. A live casting server 150 of a server reservation control center 5 limits the number of streams by which the user PC 4 performs the parallel transmission of a plurality of live content at different transmission rates, in accordance with the type of circuit, which can previously prevent the user PC 4 from performing the parallel transmission of live content using the untransmittable number of streams, thus making it possible to reliably transmit the live content in accordance with the communication environment of the user PC 4.
