  • Patent number: 11953850
Abstract: A heater for use in an image heating apparatus includes a substrate, first and second conductors provided on the substrate, and heating elements. The heating elements are arranged between, and electrically connected in parallel to, the first and second conductors. When n denotes a number of heating elements, connected to one second conductor, in one row of the heating elements, a width L denotes a sum (n×Wh) of widths, as seen in a longitudinal direction of the substrate, of shortest current paths of all respective heating elements connected to the one second conductor plus a sum of widths, as seen in the longitudinal direction, of respective gaps between adjacent shortest current paths, and a ratio R denotes a ratio of the sum (n×Wh) of widths to the width L, the heating elements are configured so as to satisfy 0.54?the ratio R<1.

  • Patent number: 9436150
Abstract: An opening and closing portion is opened and closed. A switch is turned off when a voltage applied to a drive terminal is smaller than a first voltage and to be turned on when the voltage is greater than or equal to a second voltage. A drive unit generates a drive voltage. A first line applies the drive voltage to the switch. A second line is arranged such that at least a part thereof is near the first line. A voltage drop element provided on the first line drops a voltage applied from the second line through the first line to the drive terminal when the first line and the second line short-circuit in a state where the portion is open, to lower the voltage applied to the drive terminal to be smaller than the first voltage.

  • Patent number: 8532510
Abstract: In an electrophotographic image forming apparatus employing a contact development system, contact of a development roller against a photosensitive drum is started while forming an electrostatic latent image of a detection pattern for detection in each individual apparatus, and a developed toner image is detected at a predetermined position. At this time, a time from the time when contact of the development roller was started until the time when the toner image was detected is measured, and a delay time from a time when contact operation of the development roller was started until a time of actual contact is calculated by subtracting the time needed until the developed toner image reaches the detection position. The time when contact of the development roller is started is delayed by this time. The same sort of control is also performed for the separation time.

  • Publication number: 20100316400
Abstract: In an electrophotographic image forming apparatus employing a contact development system, contact of a development roller 64 against a photosensitive drum 61 is started while forming an electrostatic latent image of a detection pattern 81 for detection in each individual apparatus, and a developed toner image is detected at a predetermined position. At this time, a time as from the time when contact of the development roller 64 was started until the time when the toner image was detected is measured, and a delay time Xs from a time (t11) when contact operation of the development roller 64 was started until a time (t131) of actual contact is calculated by subtracting the time needed until the developed toner image reaches the detection position. The time when contact of the development roller 64 is started is delayed by this time. The same sort of control is also performed for the separation time.
