  • Publication number: 20030023120
Abstract: A fuel oil for a fuel cell which contains, as a predominant component, a desulfurized light naphtha having a ratio of iso-paraffins to normal paraffins of 1 or more by weight; a fuel oil for a fuel cell, characterized by containing a deeply desulfurized light naphtha and can be used for both a hybrid engine and a fuel cell; and an automobile driving system using the composition. The above fuel oil and fuel oil composition can produce hydrogen with good efficiency, does not affect adversely a reformation catalyst or an electrode of a fuel cell, reduces deterioration of a reformation catalyst or the like, and thus can be used as a fuel oil for a fuel cell suitable for a transportation vehicle such as an automobile. The fuel oil composition can be used also as a fuel oil for a hybrid engine.

  • Patent number: 5992460
Abstract: A three-position switching valve has a spool positioned in a valve hole that is moved relative to two drive chambers positioned on either end of the valve hole. Solenoid-controlled pilot valves are provided to control supplying and ejecting a pilot fluid to and from the two respective drive chambers. This spool is held at a neutral position by the provision of two piston chambers being formed adjacent to each of the drive chambers and constantly receiving pilot fluid through a channel, the piston chambers each having a smaller diameter than that of the drive chambers. Each piston chamber accommodates a piston which may slidably move so as to be urged by pilot fluid toward the spool and a linking member interposed between each of the pistons and the spool. A return spring is interposed between each of the pistons and each linking member as part of the structure holding the spools at the neutral position.

  • Patent number: 5934323
Abstract: It is an object of this invention to reduce air resistance, which occurs when a packing is mounted in the mounting groove of a spool. Reducing this air resistance facilitates the mounting operation and prevents compressed air from being contained in a groove bottom space, and thus prevents the packing from floating. To achieve this object, a packing mounting groove 14 consisting of a wide portion 14a and a narrow portion 14b is formed in a seal land 13 in the spool. In addition, a packing 11 includes on both sides of its second portion 11b, which is fitted on the narrow portion 14b, a seal lip 18 that contacts the groove wall of the narrow portion 14b in a gas-tight manner such that air is prevented from flowing into the groove bottom. Furthermore, a lip width (f) representing the distance between both seal lips 18 and 18 under a non-seal condition is set the same as or smaller than the width (a) of the wide portion 14a of the mounting groove 14.

  • Patent number: 5667624
Abstract: The present invention relates to a polarization plate to a surface of a liquid crystal cell in a manufacturing process of a liquid crystal panel, where a rotary table is disposed with loading domains for the liquid crystal cell, with each domain sequentially moving to carry-in, cleaning, gluing and carry-out stations. The cleaning mechanism serves to cause an elastic plate to be pushed to the surface of the liquid crystal cell, thereby removing foreign objects. The gluing mechanism serves to cut the polarization plate on the carrier tape to a predetermined length, to thereby allow the same to be a polarization plate chip, which is in turn absorbed and supported by the glue head. The polarization chip is now torn apart from the carrier tape to thereby be glued to the surface of the liquid crystal cell.By this, process of picking up the polariation plate can be shortened and the position of the polarization plate can be determined in a state of the polarization plate being absorbed and supported by the glue head.

  • Patent number: 5113929
Abstract: A temperature control system is used in conjunction with sputtering, CDV, etching, and the like apparatuses for processing a substrate on which semiconductor devices are integrated. This system responds quickly to any change in the temperature of the substrate being processed, by heating or cooling the substrate to an appropriate temperature and maintaining it constant at such temperature. The heating is accomplished by radiant heaters which heat a gas flowing through the apparatus, which in turn transfers heat to the substrate mounted on the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4658101
Abstract: A switch section of a sliding-type DIP switch includes a slider and a pair of opposing contacts each consisting of a resilient metal plate member and having a V-shaped urged portion and a linear portion connected to the urged portion. When the slider is slid, each opposing side wall thereof presses the distal end of the respective urge portion of one contact into contact with the linear portion of the other contact to achieve a reliable electrical switching action. A number of these contact pairs are integrated with the bottom portion of a housing by insert molding to facilitate fabrication.
