Patent number: 9011057Abstract: The blind rivet for fastening together a plurality of mounted components with mounting holes comprises a rivet body having a sleeve, a flange and a through hole; a mandrel having a slender stem and a head; and a washer. The head of the mandrel is adjacent to the sleeve-side end portion of the rivet body, the stem of the mandrel extends through the rivet body from the flange-side end portion, and the washer is mounted near the flange on the outer periphery of the sleeve of the rivet body. A portion of the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve adjacent to the flange is swaged to form a recessed portion so that the diameter in the other position is enlarged. The washer is pushed onto the enlarged-diameter portion and secured. The mounted components are fastened together between the enlarged end portion of the sleeve and the washer.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2011Date of Patent: April 21, 2015Assignee: Newfrey LLCInventor: Takashi Asakura

Patent number: 8550554Abstract: In a vehicle seat, two front links and two rear links are pivotally connected between a seat cushion frame and a floor of vehicle. One of the two front links is of a sector shape having an arcuate gear region meshed with a drive pinion. Or alternatively, both of the two front links may be of such sector gear configuration, such that one front link is engaged with the drive pinion and the other front link engaged with a free-to-rotate pinion. Hence, both two front links are robust enough to withstand an excessive great load in the case of rear-end collision. By contrast, the two rear links are simply prone to deformation by the excessive great load. Accordingly, the excessive great load is to be intensively exerted upon those two rear links which will in turn be deformed quickly to absorb a corresponding excessive great impact.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2011Date of Patent: October 8, 2013Assignee: Tachi-S Co., Ltd.Inventor: Takashi Asakura

Publication number: 20090196819Abstract: Titanium dioxide particles having a selective shielding effect against infrared radiation and a high spreadability are disclosed. The titanium dioxide particles have a primary particle size of 0.5 to 2.0 ?m and a visible light transmission of less than 95%. The titanium oxide particles consist essentially of 0.05 to 0.4% by weight of aluminum oxide, 0.1 to 0.8% by weight of zinc oxide, and the balance of titanium dioxide. The titanium dioxide particles are produced by blending of hydrated titanium oxide with minor amounts of an aluminum compound, a zinc compound and a potassium compound, and then calcining the blend.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2009Publication date: August 6, 2009Inventor: Takashi ASAKURA

Patent number: 5203667Abstract: A cargo truck has a lift frame which is mounted on a chassis thereof in a tiltable and slidable manner and has on a back end of the lift frame a curved member which curves downward. The lift frame is tilted so that a back end of the lift frame descends while the lift frame is slid to the rear with respect to the chassis. Thus, the curved member of the lift frame contacts the ground. Then, a body is slid along the lift frame backward by a body drive device, a front of the body is slid along the curved member at a back of the lift frame and lowered, and the body is lowered in an approximately level manner to the ground. Then freight is loaded onto the body lowered level to the ground and is tied down.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 1991Date of Patent: April 20, 1993Assignee: Kyokuto Kaihatsu Kogyo Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Yoneda, Takashi Asakura

Patent number: 4871146Abstract: A multifunction apparatus for the direct heat treatment of a medium- to high-carbon steel rod in a lower quench line and the treatment of low carbon steel in an upper quench line. A hot-rolled rod is transported on a conveyor in the form of a sequence of non-concentric rings, the conveyor, being operative between a first position in contact with the lower quench line and a second position in the upper cooling line. In the lower quench line the rod is subjected to controlled cooling in a coolant so that the greater part of any austenite in the entire length of the rod is substantially uniformly transformed to a fine pearlite structure. A heat holding vessel is operated under conditions that transforms any residual defects into pearlite.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 1988Date of Patent: October 3, 1989Assignee: Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Katsuhiko Yamada, Kunio Ojima, Takashi Asakura, Yusuke Yamamori, Yukihiro Nakamura

Patent number: 4770722Abstract: A method and apparatus for the direct heat treatment of a medium- to high-carbon steel rod in which the formation of martensite is prevented, even if the starting billet contains segregation. A hot-rolled rod is transported on a conveyor in the form of a sequence of non-concentric rings. The rod is then subjected to controlled cooling in a coolant so that the greater part of any austenite in the entire length of the rod is substantially uniformly transformed to a fine pearlite structure. The sequence of non-concentric rings of the rod is next held at a temperature of 450.degree.-630.degree. C. for a period of 60-300 seconds, with the pitch between each ring being made smaller than at the inlet of the conveyor. Accordingly, a pearlite transformation is effected of any residual austenite.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 1987Date of Patent: September 13, 1988Assignee: Sumimoto Electric Inductries, Ltd.Inventors: Katsuhiko Yamada, Kunio Ojima, Takashi Asakura, Yusuke Yamamori, Yukihiro Nakamura
