Patent number: 5028898Abstract: In a proposed color cathode-ray tube with deflection yoke, adjustment of static convergence and purity is performed by controlling the polarities and magnetization forces of a plurality of pole pieces made of metal alloy circumferentially held around the outer periphery. Tap bolts pressing the external wall of a funnel nearly in the perpendicular direction are so disposed on a deflection yoke mounting member as to be adjacent to the funnel of the color cathode-ray tube. The tap bolts press the funnel to fix the deflection yoke.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 1989Date of Patent: July 2, 1991Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Michio Tsukii, Kunio Shimada, Eiichi Nishiyama, Takumi Karasawa, Fumiaki Yonai, Hiroshi Yoshioka, Takashi Atobe

Patent number: 4790492Abstract: A revolution sensor device for a spool on a reel for the purpose of causing the spool to rotate at a uniform rate for obviating vibrations and audible resonance, as well as being productive of longevity of operation of the spool; said sensor comprising a magnet mounted on the spool for rotation therewith, magnetic coacting devices fixed on the spool, and with suitable counter-weighting of the magnet upon the spool.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 1987Date of Patent: December 13, 1988Assignee: Daiwa Seiko, Inc.Inventor: Takashi Atobe

Patent number: 4697758Abstract: A fishing reel having a rotatable spool for winding thereon a fishing line, a Hall-effect sensor for detecting the spool rotation, and a microcomputer including an up/down counter for receiving signals from the sensor to count the number of spool revolutions during paying out and winding up of the fishing line. Calculation is provided by the microcomputer for determining the lengths of the paid out portion and the wound up portion of the fishing line with there being a display unit for displaying the calculated lengths. A memory associated with the microcomputer provides for selection from one of a plurality of formulas for calculation of line lengths corresponding to various line diameters. A control is provided for resetting the displayed value to 0 when the line is completely wound up.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 1985Date of Patent: October 6, 1987Assignee: Daiwa Seiko, Inc.Inventors: Haruomi Hirose, Takashi Atobe

Patent number: 4666101Abstract: A level winder for a double-bearing reel for a fishing rod consists of a traverse cam shaft held between portions of frame bases on side walls in front of a spool. The cam shaft is rotated by a driving gear mounted on a handle shaft and includes a guide cylinder mounted around an outer portion of the traverse cam shaft, and rotatably supported between the frame bases. A slidable member is mounted around the guide cylinder and moves reciprocally along the guide cylinder in a lateral direction.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1985Date of Patent: May 19, 1987Assignee: Daiwa Seiko Inc.Inventor: Takashi Atobe

Patent number: 4585182Abstract: A double-bearing fishing reel has a spool shaft with a spool secured thereto. The spool shaft is supported between a pair of right and left reel side plates. A handle shaft is rotatably supported by one of the reel side plates. The handle shaft and the spool shaft are connected through a power transmission mechanism and a clutch mechanism, which are provided in the one reel side plate. The reel further has a level-wind device provided forward of the spool. The level-wind device is adapted to guide a fishing line to the spool. The reel is provided with an informing mechanism for informing the angler of the amount of the fishing line that has been let out. The mechanism is composed of a detector which detects the number of revolutions of the spool and the direction of rotation thereof, a display, an operation key, a microcomputer, a power source and so forth.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 1984Date of Patent: April 29, 1986Assignee: Daiwa Seiko Inc.Inventor: Takashi Atobe

Patent number: 4557429Abstract: A level winder for a double-bearing reel of a fishing rod consists of a traverse cam shaft held between portions of frame bases on side walls of the reel in front of the spool in such a manner that the cam shaft can be rotated by a driving gear on a handle shaft; a guide cylinder mounted around the cam shaft and supported between the frame bases so that the guide cylinder can rotate; a slidable member mounted around the guide cylinder, and which is able to engage with the cam shaft and move along the guide cylinder reciprocally in the lateral direction; a locking recess formed in the slidable member; a pair of guide rods supported between the side walls; right and left line guide arms which are mounted slidably on the guide rods, are urged in opposite directions by a spring, are capable of engaging with the locking recess so that a line guide hole is formed between the guide arms, and can disengage from the locking recess when the slidable member is rotated; an operating cam provided at one end of the guide cType: GrantFiled: June 6, 1984Date of Patent: December 10, 1985Assignee: Daiwa Seiko, Inc.Inventor: Takashi Atobe

Patent number: 4549703Abstract: An anti-backlash fishing reel comprises a pair of side frames connected by pillars. One of the side frames supports the gear drive mechanisms. A handle projects beyond the side plate or cap attached to that frame. At the other side of the reel, the anti-backlash mechanism is located. A mounting disc or retainer case has its rim clamped to the opposite frame member by a cap or side plate. The mounting disc or retainer case carries magnetic field forming means on its inside for cooperation with a conductive eddy current drum or segment of the line spool. The mounting disc or retainer case also accommodates a bearing for the end of the spool shaft. The spool shaft is extended outwardly of the mounting disc or retainer case to mount a click wheel. Detachment of the cap or side plate allows servicing and cleaning of the magnetic field forming means without disrupting the drive mechanism at the opposite side of the reel.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 1983Date of Patent: October 29, 1985Assignee: Daiwa Seiko, Inc.Inventor: Takashi Atobe
