  • Publication number: 20240097441
Abstract: A management system includes a plurality of resources configured to be electrically connected to an external power supply, and a management device configured to manage the resources. The management device includes a planning unit and a management unit. The planning unit is configured to determine a power balancing plan of each of the resources by using first information on a use schedule of each of the resources and second information indicating a magnitude of an environmental load in a process of generating electric power to be supplied by the external power supply. The management unit is configured to manage the resources to cause each of the resources to operate according to the power balancing plan or a modified power balancing plan in power balancing of the external power supply.

  • Patent number: 6406016
Abstract: A dispensing apparatus for thin flat articles, such as monetary currency bills, includes a plenum chamber having an aperture of a size smaller than the articles to be dispensed. A suction device is connected to the plenum chamber to provide sufficient negative pressure to adhere an article to the aperture. A contact member, such as an endless belt, is mounted for movement across the aperture to drive the article adhering to the aperture for release from the stack of articles. The stack of articles can be stored in a storage tray and biased towards the plenum chamber aperture. A series of spacer members can relieve part of the bias pressure. The released articles can be counted and stored in a storage chamber until a predetermined number of articles are accumulated. Subsequently, the passageway from the storage chamber to a dispenser tray can be opened and the articles ejected to the user.

  • Patent number: 6092730
Abstract: An apparatus is set forth for counting and discharging sheet objects such as currency notes or the like. The apparatus has a housing containing a drum. The drum has an outer periphery spaced from the housing to define a chamber to temporarily receive an assembled bundle of objects. A compartment is provided in the drum to serially receive objects as they are counted and the drum rotates to serially discharge the counted objects from the compartment into the chamber to form the bundle. The bundle of a predetermined number of objects is then removed from the housing.

  • Patent number: 5039630
Abstract: Disclosed is a granular multi-cellular glass and a method for producing the same. An ordinary multi-cellular glass grain having relatively low moisture content ratio was prepared as starting material. The glass grain is then dipped in water or alkali solution for eluting or dealkali treatment. By the dipping, soluble alkali components are mainly eluted from a surface layer and cell walls of the glass grain. Thus produced multi-cellular glass grain provides increased moisture content ratio because of the formation of micropores at the layer and cell wall portions. Disclosed also are controls of physical properties of the multi-cellular glass grain for controlling specific gravity, pore volume and pore diameter thereof. By these controls, resultant glass grain is provided with desirable physical properties available for a microcarrier for immobilizing microbe therein.

  • Patent number: 4707819
Abstract: A disc driving device includes an insertion slot for a disc cartridge, a cartridge holder for receiving an inserted cartridge, a slider which engages the front end of the inserted cartridge and is displaced inward therewith, a lock lever for locking a cam plate in an ejecting position, and the cam plate having cam slots engaging rollers on the cartridge holder for moving the cartridge holder to a loading position when the lock lever is released. The slider moves one end of a spring member in conjunction with insertion of the disc cartridge part way into the device, such that the spring member becomes compressed and reoriented and exerts a repulsive force along the insertion direction in order to draw the disc cartridge the remainder of the way in, and also releases the lock lever to move the cartridge to the loading position automatically.
