  • Patent number: 5686109
Abstract: This invention provides an antipyretic analgesic preparation having good antipyretic and analgesic effects with reduced adverse effects such as gastrointestinal disorders. The object is achieved by providing a mixture composition containing ibuprofen and isopropylantipyrine. The ratio between them is preferably 5:1 to 1:5, more preferably 3:1 to 1:3, on the weight basis. Preferred dosage forms of the mixture composition are a three-layer tablet comprising an ibuprofen-containing first layer, an isopropylantipyrine-containing third layer, and a second layer composed of one or more inactive ingredients alone as provided between said first and third layers, a dry coated tablet internally having an ibuprofen- or isopropylantipyrine-containing core tablet, and so forth.
