  • Patent number: 8288705
Abstract: laser light is beamed substantially perpendicular to a screen member, while temporarily fixing the laser transmitter at three of more points at regular intervals in a rotary direction about the rotary axis TA. The rotary axis TA is defined by a straight line that passes through the light emitting opening of the laser transmitter and is substantially perpendicular to the screen member. The beamed direction of the laser light beamed from a laser transmitter is adjusted by a transmitter position adjustment portion so as to make the laser light hit the center of the three or more points on the screen member.

  • Patent number: 5197562
Abstract: A vehicle cruising control device includes a detecting device for detecting the current speed of the vehicle, a constant speed control device for maintaining the speed of the vehicle at a selected speed, a measuring device for measuring the current inter-vehicle distance between the vehicle and an advance vehicle and an inter-vehicle distance control device for maintaining the inter-vehicle distance between the vehicle and the advance vehicle at a predetermined distance based on the degree of danger determined by the relationship of the current distance between vehicles and the relative speed between the vehicles. A switching device is provided for turning on either of the constant speed control device and the inter-vehicle distance control device.

  • Patent number: 4467426
Abstract: An air lumbar support is provided for establishing a desired attitude of a driver's seat of a vehicle, and is associated with an attitude control system. A pad of a seat back is supported by a plurality of air bags, each of which is connected with a solenoid valve, which when open, permits the air to be discharged into the atmosphere from the air bag. When a desired attitude is to be established, air under pressure is fed to the air bags. Attitude establishing data is in the form of a number of times the solenoid valves are energized for opening for short intervals, and is stored in a non-volatile semiconductor read-write memory if the attitude is to be registered. In response to a key operation, a microprocessor reads registered data automatically, initially driving an air pump, followed by opening the solenoid valves a number of times indicated by the data, thus establishing a desired air pressure in the air bag.

  • Patent number: 4269045
Abstract: A home knitting machine is provided with a read only semiconductor memory device which has a plurality of patterning instructions, electric signal generator means for generating carriage position indication signal in response to movement of the carriage during knitting, an electronic control system for reading out instructions from the memory device in response to the carriage position indication signal, needle selectors energized pursuant to read out instructions from the memory device to provide design patterns in a fabric, and an input unit for determining reading out sequence of the electronic control system so as to select a design pattern by manual operation of a user.

  • Patent number: 4192157
Abstract: A knitting width indication system for hand knitting machines, wherein a fabric piece pattern memory device and a pattern width indication display device cooperating with the knitting machine carriage are provided, and whereby the knitting width is read out step by step from the pattern width electronic memory device in synchronism with the traversing movement of the carriage on a needle bed to display the knitting width of each knitting step on a pattern width indication display device. The pattern width electronic memory device stores a variety of fabric outline pattern data. The fabric outline width data are read out and displayed in serial order, in synchronism with each traversing movement of the carriage. Referring to the fabric outline width datum on the display device, the operator can set the proper knitting width on the needle bed.

  • Patent number: 3934939
Abstract: An improvement in and relating to powered driven and wheeled vehicles; more specifically, to improvements in wheel brake systems of such vehicles, wherein a condenser will charge in a voltage responsive to the wheel rotation at the commencement of a brake applying operation, and the discharge speed (or discharge voltage) of the condenser is made variable in response to foot brake pedal pressure. A comparison is made between this voltage and a wheel rotation-responsive voltage during the braking operation and derived through a separate part of the electronic circuit concerned. When the latter voltage is higher than the former voltage, the wheel cylinder pressure is increased through the intermediary of a pressure intensifier, until the both voltages are brought into coincidence with each other. In this way, the liquid pressure as applied to the wheel cylinder is made always to response to the pedal pressure.
