  • Patent number: 6424547
Abstract: A power supply module includes a plurality of power supply modules. One of the power supply units is designated as a master power supply unit. Other power supply units are handled as expansion power supply units. The power supply modules can be connected in parallel on a DIN rail so that the master power supply unit may supply an external AC voltage to the expansion power supply units. When a desired power supply capacity exceeds a power supply capacity of the master power supply unit, an expansion power supply unit is connected in parallel with the master power supply unit in order to increase the power supply capacity.

  • Patent number: 5906300
Abstract: An applicator of resilient plastic material having a double wall construction, an air chamber between the walls and spacers in the air chamber is disclosed. The applicator is adapted to be pressed between the thumb and forefinger to dispense glue. The applicator has an applicator body comprising a shoulder, a dispensing opening in the shoulder and a downwardly depending skirt. A cup which is adapted to hold glue, particularly cyanoacrylate glue, is within the skirt and the top and bottom portions of the cup are in fluid tight engagement with the applicator body adjacent the top and bottom of the skirt. The cup fits within the skirt with its walls in spaced apart relationship with the skirt to provide an air chamber therebetween. The shape of cup walls and the opposed skirt generally conform to each other. A preferred embodiment includes friction elements on the outside of the skirt overlying at least a portion of the area covered by the spacers.

  • Patent number: 5902443
Abstract: There is disclosed a method for accelerating the cure of cyanoacrylate adhesive by contacting the adhesive with a coating of an accelerator on a tape or sheet. Preferred embodiments relate to bonding a fabric to a substrate by placing a fabric in pressure contact with a substrate, said fabric having cyanoacrylate adhesive on one side thereof and openings of sufficient size between adjacent fibers to permit cyanoacrylate adhesive to pass through to the opposite side of the fabric and then contacting adhesive on the side away from the substrate with a polymerization accelerator coated on a backing. There is also disclosed a backing material such as a tape or sheet having a polymerization accelerator for cyanoacrylate adhesive coated on one side thereof, preferably, wherein the backing material does not bond to the cyanoacrylate on the side carrying the coating. Use of the method and backing material is particularly described for use in the manufacture of serigraphic screens.

  • Patent number: 4295420
Abstract: An automatic control system for a hulling machine including a fixed rotary hulling roll, a movable rotary hulling roll, means for moving the movable rotary hulling roll toward and away from the fixed rotary hulling roll to adjust the gap between the two hulling rolls and a main electric motor for driving the two hulling rolls. The system includes load detecting means for detecting the load applied to the main electric motor, and control means for connecting the load detecting means to the means for controlling the movement of the auxiliary shaft whereby the gap between the two hulling rolls can be automatically adjusted in accordance with the load applied to the main electric motor.

  • Patent number: 4208274
Abstract: A rotary cylinder type separator comprises a slightly tiltable, horizontally installed rotary cylinder, a plurality of combs secured to the inside of the cylinder, in parallel and substantially axially of the cylinder, a feeder for introducing a mixture of grainy material and impurities into the cylinder at one end, an outlet formed at the other end of the cylinder for discharging the grainy material out of the cylinder, and a device for discharging the impurities larger in size than the grainy material and that have been scooped by the combs to a high level and have then fallen within the cylinder. The last-mentioned device is a fan for producing an air blast within the cylinder, or a combination of a stationary collection trough inserted axially through the cylinder for receiving the impurities that fall from the high level, and a screw conveyor mounted inside the trough.
