  • Patent number: 7651870
Abstract: A device for treating an analyte using magnetic beads is provided wherein the surfaces of the magnetic beads are effectively available as a whole. The device comprises a housing having a channel therein, through which channel the analyte is moved; a pair of electromagnets which are oppositely arranged in such a manner that the channel is interposed therebetween; a moving means for moving the pair of electromagnets along the channel while the electromagnets are facing the channel; and a controlling means for controlling magnetic forces generated by the electromagnets. The device is characterized in that the magnetic forces of the electromagnets are alternately generated with time. This will cause the magnetic beads to collide successively with the inner surface of the channel, which in turn gives a more efficient dispersion of the magnetic beads even if they are clustered or agglutinated to each other.

  • Patent number: 7419119
Abstract: A tape reel includes a reel body which has a lower flange and a bottomed tubular hub formed integrally with the lower flange and opening at its upper end. An upper flange is mounted on the upper end of the hub. A plurality of locking teeth engageable with a reel retainer and a plurality of driving teeth engageable with a driving shaft of a tape drive are, respectively, formed circumferentially on upper and lower surfaces of an outer peripheral edge portion of a bottom wall of the hub so as to project therefrom. On the lower surface of the bottom wall of the hub, a gate position for injection molding is provided at a position corresponding to that for forming the locking teeth.

  • Publication number: 20050272142
Abstract: A fluid vessel includes a base member in the form of a plate of which one surface has a concave channel and a cover plate which is bonded to the base plate so as to close an opening surface of the channel. The base member and the cover plate are bonded through a double-faced adhesive sheet. The double-faced adhesive sheet has an opening which corresponds to a formation pattern of the channel. The double-faced adhesive sheet includes a flat and smooth sheet substrate which is made of a plastic sheet having a chemical resistance as well as adhesive layers which are laminated onto both surfaces of the sheet substrate. In a state in which the cover plate is bonded to the base member, a space between the cover plate and a periphery of the channel opening is filled with an inner peripheral wall portion which defines the opening of the double-faced adhesive sheet.

  • Patent number: 4957594
Abstract: A zinc- or zinc alloy-coated steel sheet having an excellent spot-weldability, comprising: a base steel sheet; one or more layers coated on the steel sheet, at least one of the coated layers containing zinc as a major component; and an oxidized layer formed on the outermost of the coated layers and containing zinc in an amount of from 0.03 to 3.0 g/m.sup.2, the oxidized layer containing at least one of zinc oxide and zinc hydroxide.

  • Patent number: 4460118
Abstract: In a method for roll forming a flat metal strip through a roll forming machine into a round tubular product while the metal strip is being lengthwise fed therethrough, an improved method wherein regions of a specified width extending inward from the edges of said strip are imparted with substantially zero curvature. The tube forming method prevents decrease in the wall thicknesses at the edges when used in the manufacture of a thick walled electric welded pipe, and prevents the occurrence of edge buckling and springback when used in the manufacture of thick walled pipe so that in either case a proper and satisfactory butt junction for subsequent welding can be obtained.
