  • Patent number: 5331436
Abstract: An encoder comprises a memory for storing a to-be-coded original image, outputting a to-be-coded image signal in response to a to-be-coded region designation signal for designating a to-be-coded region used as a to-be-coded block, and outputting a to-be-transformed image signal in response to a to-be-transformed region designation signal for designating a to-be-transformed region; a transforming circuit for subjecting the to-be-transformed image signal to a predetermined transformation in response to a transformation method designation signal, and outputting a transformed image signal; a deciding circuit for deciding an error of the transformed image signal with reference to the to-be-coded image signal, and a control circuit for outputting, as a code, information on at least the to-be-transformed region and the transformation method which reduce the error decided by the deciding circuit to a predetermined value or below.

    Inventors: Takashi Ida, Kenshi Dachiku
  • Patent number: 5202764
Abstract: In a moving-picture image signal processing system used in a so-called "video phone communication system", a coding/decoding distortion contained in a coded moving-picture image signal is removed therefrom.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 3, 1992

    Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Toshiba
    Inventors: Takashi Ida, Kenshi Dachiku
  • Patent number: 5191601
Abstract: A video phone unit comprising a decoder for expanding a received picture transmitted from the other party, a television camera for photographing a subject for producing a photographed picture on one party side, a hook for detecting whether the camera is immobile or mobile and generating either a first detecting signal indicating that the hook is in a mobile state or a second detecting signal indicating that the hook is immobile, a changeover switch for selecting either the received picture expanded at the decoder or the photographed picture taken at the camera after receiving the first or second detecting signal provided from the hook, a display for displaying one picture selected at the changeover switch, and a coder for compressing and transmitting the photographed picture provided from the camera to the other party.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 4, 1991
Date of Patent: March 2, 1993

  • Patent number: 5064700
Abstract: The invention is related to blow-molded nylon products comprising 40-95 parts by weight nylon 46, 3-40 parts by weight nylon 6, nylon 66 and/or nylon 6/66 and 2-40 parts by weight of an acid or epoxy modified polyolefin. Blow moldability and impact resistance are improved without deterioration of high temperature resistance and mechanical strength.

  • Patent number: 5043385
Abstract: An impact resistant resin composition comprising from 30 to 70% (wt) of a polyamide with at least 40 mol/10.sup.6 g amino groups, from 5 to 40% (wt) of a polyarylate, from 5 to 40% by weight of the adduct of an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride and a butadiene copolymer with at least one monomer from the group of aromatic vinylmonomer, an unsaturated nitrile monomer and an acrylate monomer, and from 3 to 30% (wt) of an epoxy group-containing olefine copolymer obtained by copolymerizing at least one unsaturated glycidyl monomer with at least one unsaturated olefin monomer.

  • Patent number: 4235258
Abstract: A driving device for opening and closing a valve comprises a cylindrical body, an actuating cylinder, a spindle, a piston member, a transparent plate and a stop means for controlling the rotation of the spindle. Said stop means comprises a ring gear, a spring and a stop bar having a wedge-shaped head, said wedge head having a pair of surfaces forming an included angle which is bisected by the axis of the stop bar such that rotation of the spindle by fluid pressure on the valve is prevented but manual rotation of the spindle in either direction is permitted.
