  • Publication number: 20090018711
Abstract: Information necessary to control a vehicle is to be effectively detected in accordance with a situation. A supposition situation selecting section selects a supposition situation closest to the present situation of an own vehicle from a plurality of pre-supposed supposition situations on the basis of situation information acquired from a situation information acquiring unit and a supposition situation selection table through a situation information input I/F circuit. A detection process selecting portion selects a detection process to be actually performed from detection processes which can be performed by each detecting portion of a target detecting section on the basis of the selected supposition situation and a detection process selection table. The invention is applicable to an in-vehicle image processing device.

  • Publication number: 20080164985
Abstract: The processing load of the detection without deteriorating the object detection performance is to be decreased. In one step, a position determining portion extracts objects within a detection region set based on the speed of an automotive vehicle from the objects detected by a laser radar. In another step, a speed determining portion extracts objects, whose speed in the distance direction of the automotive vehicle is equal to or smaller than a predetermined threshold value, from the objects extracted in the previous step. In another step, a ROI setting portion sets an ROI having a size corresponding to the distance of the object from the automotive vehicle for each of the extracted objects. The present invention can be applied to an in-vehicle obstacle detecting device.

  • Publication number: 20080166024
Abstract: The performance of detecting the features of an object is to be improved. In one step, among pixels within a ROI, pixels whose feature amount is greater than a predetermined threshold value are extracted as a feature point candidate. In another step, a feature point density parameter is set based on a distance to an object within the ROI. In another steps, the feature points are extracted from the feature point candidates in the descending order of the feature amount, while the feature point candidates, whose distance from the extracted feature points is equal to or smaller than the feature point density parameter, are not extracted as the feature point. In another step, a feature point list representing the feature points extracted from the ROT is output. The present invention can be applied to an in-vehicle obstacle detecting device.

  • Patent number: 4013017
Abstract: A system for issuing instructional signals to individual cars of a train for causing actuation of a device such as a container locking device of the individual car. A plurality of instructional signal lines and a plurality of feedback lines extend through each car in a direction parallel to the direction of travel of the car, the number of lines being at least as great as the number of cars in the train. The one ends of the lines are connected to terminals at one end of each car in positional correspondence with the lines, and the other ends of the lines in each car are connected to terminals offset by one from the terminals in positional correspondence with the respective lines. The other end of the line on one edge of each array of the plurality of lines extends across the array and is connected to the terminal in positional correspondence with the line on the other edge of the array. The terminals in adjacent cars are connected.
