  • Patent number: 8145051
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus which is capable of reducing possibility of missing a good moment to take a photo and reducing electric power wasted for strobe shooting. The image pickup apparatus is capable of shooting using a strobe. A motion detector detects an amount of motion of an object of which an image is to be picked up. A camera controller sets a target charge voltage level of a main capacitor based on the detected amount of motion of the object.

  • Patent number: 4675208
Abstract: A coating method wherein a part of coating liquid supplied from a liquid supplying device is circulated through a closed passage running somewhere between the liquid supply device and a liquid delivery nozzle of a liquid applying section from the liquid applying section to the liquid supply device while the coating process is in operation. The amount of liquid circulated in the closed passage is 0.5 to 10 times the amount of liquid supplied by the liquid supply device.

  • Patent number: 4561378
Abstract: A coating apparatus wherein the coating is made by a coater while a support is carried in a non-contacting manner by a gas jetted from a gas jetting device towards the support. The gas jetting device has a hollow housing into which the gas is introduced from a gas source, the wall of the housing adjacent to the support being provided with a plurality of gas jetting nozzle ports through which the gas is jetted towards the support, each gas jetting nozzle port having a throat portion presenting a minimum cross-sectional area inwardly spaced from the outer surface of the wall of the housing and an enlarged outlet portion presenting a comparatively large diameter and opening in surface of the wall. The ratio of port area is adjusted in such a manner that the rate of jetting of the gas from unit area of the outer surface of the gas jetting device becomes smaller as the width of the support is increased.

  • Patent number: 4548837
Abstract: A method and an apparatus in which gas is jetted out of the gas injector 3' to support the support 2 in a contactless manner, while coating solutions are applied onto both sides of the support 2 by means of the coaters 1 and 1'. Supporting static pressure produced in a gap between the support 2 and the injector 3' is made to become 1/10 through 1/1000 of supply pressure of gas fed into the injector 3', and a lift of the support 2 at the contact point with the coating solution from the coater is made to have a value of 20 through 500.mu..
