  • Publication number: 20210032688
Abstract: A method for screening a compound capable of regulating gene expression by binding to a transcription product particularly for obtaining a drug candidate compound. The method includes selecting a stem-loop structure as a desired motif in an RNA, inputting a parameter of a specific stem-loop structure, and executing a plurality of RNA higher-order structural analysis programs to search/extract a sequence that can assume the structure in a molecule thereof from an mRNA sequence, selecting a specific target sequence in a specific transcription product as an indicator of the position at which the stem-loop structure is present in the molecule in an mRNA having significance for development of a potential drug target in an object disease or the like from the extracted mRNA, designing/preparing a labeling probe on the basis of the sequence, performing screening using the labeling probe as an assessment system, and acquiring a low-molecular-weight compound that selectively stabilizes the stem-loop structure.

  • Publication number: 20200248177
Abstract: A nucleic acid medicine for managing a disease or disorder related to unwanted gene expression. A technique for efficiently regulating gene expression in a cell using a relatively short oligonucleotide, by establishing a method for designing a nucleic acid medicine, that includes performing structural analysis based on sequence information of a target RNA sequence as an object for gene expression regulation, calculating the probability of existence of each structure from the results of the structural analysis and the energy of each structure, and calculating the existence probability in unified fashion of an endogenous stem-loop substructure, thereby specifying a more favorable endogenous stem-loop substructure. This technique can theoretically be applied to regulation expression of any gene, and is useful for treatment or prevention of various diseases and disorders.

  • Publication number: 20200002658
Abstract: An alcoholic beverage containing ultrafine bubbles of hydrogen with an antioxidative function is provided that is produced by a reductive fermentation technique of alcohol and contains only a small amount of acetaldehyde. A method and an apparatus of oxidative-reductive fermentation of varieties of alcoholic beverages are provided based on facilitation of proliferation of microorganisms under an oxidative condition and a reductive fermentation technique. The reductive fermentation technique suppresses oxidative degradation of generated pyruvic acid, activate alcohol dehydrogenase, and facilitates production of alcohol from acetaldehyde which is an intermediate product, and a gas exchanging function of the ultrafine bubbles of hydrogen decreases acetaldehyde that remains in a period of alcohol fermentation. The technique facilitates fermentation, increases alcohol yield, decreases acetaldehyde content, and enhances fresh savor, mellow taste and an antioxidative function of an alcoholic beverage.

  • Publication number: 20120044252
Abstract: An image display apparatus includes an image processing circuit configured to generate an image signal based on input image data such that the image signal includes a main-image frame and a sub-image frame with luminance lower than that of the main-image frame. The image processing circuit includes a conversion circuit and a memory control circuit. The conversion circuit converts frame synchronization signals of respective frames such that the main-image frame has a longer horizontal scanning period than the sub-image frame. The memory control circuit switches, in a period in which the unconverted synchronization signal and the converted synchronization signal are both in a vertical blanking period, operation modes of two frame memories between writing and reading. The image display apparatus is capable of suppressing a visible disturbance in image quality and a reduction in the total image luminance of a moving image without increasing a frame memory transfer rate.

  • Patent number: 7312669
Abstract: An oscillation circuit for generating two oscillation signals having a phase difference of 90° by using an LC oscillator has a disadvantage for integration. Therefore, a differential type ring oscillator comprising interpolation type delay circuits of four stages is used as an original oscillator without using any LC oscillator. The oscillation frequency of the original oscillator is set to f/2. Intermediate signals S(k) having a phase difference of 45(k?1)° with respect to a reference phase are obtained as the outputs of the respective stages of the original oscillator. A multiplying circuit 22 generates the product signal of S(2) and S(4) in mixers. This product signal is vibrated at cos (ft/2), and the output signal Vout1 is generated on the basis of the product signal. A multiplying circuit generates the product signal of S(1) and S(3) in mixers. This product signal is vibrated at cos(ft/2+?/2), and the output signal Vout2 is generated on the basis of the product signal.

  • Patent number: 7016773
Abstract: A control system for a hybrid vehicle, which enables the hybrid vehicle to optimally selectively use driven modes to attain excellent fuel economy and thereby make it possible to improve fuel economy. The hybrid vehicle is operated in an engine-driven mode or a motor-driven mode, and recovers electric energy for driving an electric motor, using the output from the engine. The control system calculates a driving fuel consumption amount of the engine required for driving the hybrid vehicle in the engine-driven mode and a recovering fuel consumption amount of the engine required for recovering electric energy to be consumed when the hybrid vehicle is driven in the motor-driven mode, and sets the driven mode to the motor-driven mode when the recovering fuel consumption amount is smaller than the driving fuel consumption amount, and to the engine-driven mode when the former is larger than the latter.
